Mediterranean diet ..

  • while watching the Doctors this morning this was on their show .. so i decided to do some research .. well what do ya know I'm pretty much eating this diet i just add in the bad things that are not considered so i guess if i could cut out the bad foods i would be good to go .. i use nothing but olive oil .. i use the red wine vinegar on my salads and use it to marinate chicken .. i love eating olives and feta cheese, greek yogurt .. i guess I'm on the right path lol maybe this time around i can make losing the weight work!!
  • The Mediterranean diet is very healthy! But it's a way of living a healthy life, not necessarily a weight loss diet unless you make it that way. Basically you'll eat lots of vegetables, some fruit, a little dairy and fish, and use olive oil as your fat source but in careful amounts. Plus lots of activity. But not a lot of olives and feta cheese

  • thank you Suzanne .. i knew that it wasn't really a diet but more as a way of living .. so that's what i referred to it as lol .. i like olives and feta but not enough to eat to much of it lol .. thanks for the link i didn't even think to look on here for it!!
  • I just discovered that Trader Joe's offers a fat-free feta cheese And it's got no sugar or filler crap in it. Viva la mediterraneane! (Or something like that.)
  • hmm wonder if walmart carries it .. I'm heading there shortly .. then i could make my feta and watermelon salad .. yum!!

Yum! Now that's something I can get excited about.

I think the thing about eating Mediterranean is their focus on real, not processed foods combined with their activity. I really believe that makes all the difference.
