Talking Halloween Challenge

Hey Ladies

I realize, that it's not labor day just yet. But wanted to get this out there. There are some that are waiting for a new challenge to start (they missed the Labor Day Challenge). So this challenge will begin Sunday, Sept 8th. So that everyone can post their labor day losses. (I weigh in on Saturdays, so I'll be one of the last, I'm sure).

Please feel free to post your mini-goal. I'm waiting to see what my total loss for Labor is and that way I can try to adjust it accordingly, if need be.

Remember..... We start the 8th and end Nov 2nd. (8 weeks).

WE CAN DO THIS! WE ARE

I'm looking forward to this challenge, as well! I think I'm going to have my start weight be my weigh-in weight next Wednesday, Sept. 4. So, from there, it is 8 weeks before Halloween, with my final weigh-in the day before Halloween. I think a 14 pound weight loss would be a reasonable goal for me.

Is anyone else but me getting extremely nervous about the upcoming holidays?? This will be my first holiday season while on a weight loss program. ACK!!

Well, I hope I still lose a bit between now and Sept 8th so I may need to adjust this a bit. but for now I'm aiming to be 225 lbs by the end of the Halloween challenge. This would give me a 10% wt loss and involve losing only 9.6 lbs. so should be very doable. I'm more into slow and steady and changing my eating, water and exercise habits long term. Have been very pleased with Labor Day challenge loss which I think came to about 8 or 9 lbs so hope all goes as well.

Well, I've been losing really slowly, so I think I'll wait until my Sept. 5th weigh in before I choose a number.

When I began this, to free myself from the weight limitations I have endured all my life I weighed in at 353Lbs. At last weigh in I weighed in at 287lbs. While it is not my weigh in until Friday and hopefully it will increase some I had set a 17 lb. goal for Halloween which would have put my goal at 270 but for some mysterious reason my body has jumped up and gone crazy. I am known to have these huge spurts of weight loss and then I fight for every pound for months afterward. So after Friday I will reset my goals accordingly. See You here on Friday!!!

Count me in! I want to lose 15 lbs. by halloween. Since I wasn't in the labor day challenge I'm going to start now! I just started WW last Fri. (at home) and YMCA so this is perfect timing for the challenge. I can't imagine anyone would object if I start early. I guesss I should tell you about myself. I'm a new mm of 6 mth. old boy (very active already crawling and pulling up) I'm planning to start working part-time in Oct. I need to lose 65 lbs. I'm also married and have 2 dogs.

Do we post our weightloss totals weekly and if yes what day? Talk with you later.

I'm in! My weigh in is Tuesday for my Labor day goal (just 2 lbs this week and I make it!) so I'll set my halloween goal right after I weigh in. This should be fun.

I think we should start a tally this time with how much everyone loses every week and stuff. If you want I can do it and post a running board on my website or something!

I know that there is no way I'll make the Labor Day goal (nine pounds to go) so I will go ahead and post my Halloween goal.
205. I think that I can make this one! That will put me very close to my goal of 199 by Thanksgiving.

i am going to go low here. I want to lose 12 pounds in the next 8 weeks. That is around 1.5 pounds a week I think. I have ended the last 3 months in a gain and am going to end the next 3 with a lose.

Once I weigh in on labor day I will post a Halloween goal. I think in eight weeks that 12 pounds will be a good goal about 1 1/2 pounds a week. It's do-able and hopefully I will lose more!!

gbo (pam)--I just want to congratulate you girl!! If my figuring is correct you've lost 66 pounds?? Wow!! congratulations!!

I'm up for another challenge and I think it would be good if we kept a running tally (for those that want to) of our losses. I find that it helps me when I have to be responsible to other people. That probably isn't the best motivator but hey if it works I'll take it.

I'll post my goal on the 8th, I'm still waiting for these wretched TOM water lbs to recede.
