This one from my dad..."Now that you've lost all this weight, you look like Queen Latifah"...

I believe what he was trying to say was that he now considers me the kind of woman who, in spite of being FAT, somehow also manages to look moderately attractive.

He stumbled around this concept for a while, also adding that now "lots of women in Hollywood nowadays are fat but they still look okay..."

As it happens, I think Queen Latifah is gorgeous, and I'd love to look like her, but given that I'm a blonde blue eyed middle-aged white lady with an apple shape it doesn't seem like the FIRST comparison that would spring to mind.

Unless you're my dad.

There is a lady that goes to the same gym as me. She is NOT a slim lady, but I give her credit for going to the gym even though I haven't seen her break a sweat. Anyway, a few months after I started going to the gym she told me that I was doing well and asked how much I'd lost. She then went onto say, I used to be big you know, not as big as you, but big....
