Ugh. I really don't like the way fox news went about presenting this story. They open with, "Meet Donna Simpson. She's going to cost you. A lot." Yeah, what this woman is doing is nuts. But seriously, was it neccessary for them to go the "fat people are the enemy" route?

All I can say is each to her own and yes DCF will proably step in at some point to take the daughter. Usually that take children away once the person can not longer care for themself or the child. I have seen this happen and it is very sad, especially on the kids. The kids we know do not even understand why their mom had to go to treatment to help with her weight and try and get things under control.

She's not RUNNING after anybody.

Sounds like her website gives a new meaning to food porn. I don't guess she's much different than the women who have unprotected sex for porn movies. Both are subjecting themselves to humiliation, disease, and death.

It is beyond sad. Especially for her baby.

This is disgusting and incredibly sad. I feel so bad for her daughter. You'd think she'd be more concerned about being around for her child than getting a to goal which may result in death well beforehand. :no:

I don't necessarily agree with her choices or the goals mentioned in the article, but I think it's her right to these things if she so chooses. Just as it's my right to eat what I choose, follow whatever weight loss plan I desire and generally live my life according to my own standards. Especially considering she's not living off the state (as far as the article described).
If people want to pay to watch her consume food, then so be it.

Everyone's different. Who knows why she wants to do this? If reaching her goal ends up killing her, I'll feel bitter sorrow for her children and family, but I won't hold any thoughts of "disgust" towards her directly. It's not my place, yo.

Live and let live. And if someone wants to kill themselves? Yeah they can do that too.

Heartbreaking, utterly heartbreaking.

I have been recently looking at what I eat, how most of it is junk and hurting my body, hurting me. (the reason I am turning things around)

I have seen people (kids) who hurt themselves, out of fear, control issues, hopelessness, etc. but this is a whole new level.

WOW - I feel so sorry for her, I really do. She obviously has some issues and perhaps likes all of the attention, too bad it's for the wrong reasons (in my humble opinion), I don't want to sit here and judge her but she needs help. Sad.

I know her name is Donna Simpson, but all i can think of is Homer Simpson and the episode where he wanted to gain weight to get disability to stay home all day LOL He had to call 9/11 and the operator said "your fingers are too fat to operate the keypad. To obtain a special dialling wand, mash the keypad with your sausage fingers" LOL sorry to laugh, but it popped into my head!

Yes it's horrifying beyond belief, but people smoke themselves to death, drink themselves to death, do drugs to death, why not eat themselves to death? There's a host of ways and means to get there. As for the food porn, I find it revolting, but again, women debase themselves on the internet doing any number of things. It's a free country.

I'd say child services should take the kid away ASAP tho, what a crazy unhealthy environment, she'll be turned into a slave having to wipe her mom's butt and bring in truckloads of food!

I read a different article (might have been in the NY Daily Mail or something like that) but it says her husbad is 150lbs...and everyone keeps talking about her daughter...she has a son too that I believe he is a teenager! Keep that family in your thoughts and prayers, they will eventually lose their mother to what I would call "suicide."

In that same article I was reading it says she's a model for BBW websites and has a consistent following, with some fans sending her baklava and cheesecakes to keep her fat. And of course she has a website were people pay to watch her eat (ummmm....BARF)!! My prayers are with her kids, they don't get to choose their parents. Hopefully they don't follow in their mothers footsteps.
