I think it's working!

  • I have spent the last month bouncing up and down by a couple of pounds. It took me awhile to wrap my head around the fact that I needed to change what I was doing, well, tweak it at least.

I tried to drop my calories by 200 and increase my workout time when I was in the pool. That did not work for me at all. So I tried dropping my calories by 100 per day and then working out for 30 mintues on my off days from the pool. It hasn't been a week yet--just started on Monday, but I think this is going to work. I see my weight going down each day (by mere ounces but we all know it will add up by the end of the week right?). I feel content. I am feeling less exhausted and slightly more energetic. I am also more faithful with my food log therefore I'm tracking better.

A less extreme change, but more consistency apparently is what is working for me.

Just wanted to share what is working for me. I'm feeling so encouraged and hope this inspires someone else out there who may be feeling down.

    Thanks for listening
  • YAH! You found what is working......I am doing that too!
  • It feels so good to find what works for us. I am happy to hear you are finding what works for you.
  • Glad it is working and thumbs up on the consistancy!

    A.
  • congrats!!

And I totally agree with the value of consistency, I get good results then too, plus it's great that you are doing something moderate and sustainable.
  • Glad you got it figured out. It feels great to know you've finally figured out what works for you (at the moment)
  • Thanks for the words of encouragement! This morning I was down 1.4 pounds!!!! Yippee!
  • Congratulations, you did it! It is surprising how much difference 100 calories a day can make. I have seen that too.

  • perfect! I like it when we find what makes us "tick"
