Realizations!

So it's been a weekend of realizations and well a boost to my weight loss.

First of all I finally am out of the 230's!:carrot::carrot::carrot:! I was there for too long, but I got angry and stepped up my efforts and I'm in at 228! It's also finally happened that I'm starting to notice changes in my body (it only took 60 lbs!).

Secondly I had a friend visit, and for some reason we went swimming (yes it's winter!) outside in the thermal bath....my friend is the stereotypical rail thin slovakian girl....now normally I would be embarrassed to be in a bathing suit in general and especially around a girl that has such an intimidating body, but I wasn't. I wasn't even self conscious at all! I was wearing my bathing suit that's from my HS days and it use to be really tight and now it was lose in the stomach!

Plus I've been receiving a lot of attention lately from guys, which is a good thing!.... (Now if only they spoke English...but that's a different story!).... I think that while it has to do with weight loss it also has to do with my confidence level. I'm no longer hiding in baggy clothes with my head down. I am happier in general and have more energy since this journey!

So overall I'm thrilled and encouraged to keep going. I've started developing the dreaded stretch marks, but honestly I'll take them over the extra weight and inches. When I heard people talk about their stretch marks as battle scars, I use to think they were crazy! But I'm coming to terms with mine, and that saying I thought was so crazy doesn't seem so crazy now. Would I like them to be gone? Absolutely! But will I put the weight back on just so I wouldn't have them, nope!

Right so I'm done rambling now! I just wanted to share some positive things!

I love when I have those moments now where I'm comfortable in my own skin, a definitely benefit of this wacky weight loss journey. Congrats on your progress and saying good-bye to the 30's!!! :cheer3:

Yeah for self-confidence! Losing weight makes me feel a whole lot better about myself too. Even when I'm in a plateau, somehow just doing my best is a huge confidence booster. And I think people see that. If I were a believer in auras, I'd say it shows up there. ;)
