I was just curious as to where everyone is from. Wondering if there were anyone in my neck of the woods too.
I'm in USA - TN currently (South Central) (Been here 6 years) originally NW chicago Suburbs. It's pretty and cheap to live in southern TN, but I'm pretty homesick for my family and friends. I don't have anyone in TN I would really call a friend. And I'm getting the impression woman at my age (36) already have their friends and aren't looking for more.
I'm in Arkansas, near Little Rock. I also don't know anyone here. My DH is air force and so this is not where I am from. My family is mostly in Florida, where I am from originally. My friends are scattered across the globe, but none got scattered here with me.

Doesn't that suck? I wish I could bring my frineds down from IL. I begged them to come lol. They just keep telling me to come back. They are just an email away and I know they would talk to me, but it's just not the same as having them there. They are allllllll naturally skinny can eat anything people too. So they don't get the weight issue stuff.
I'm from New York City :] I lost touch with most of my friends too so I know how you feel, it just sucks even more that they're all done with college now and living here again and they STILL don't keep in touch. Whatev x_x
Moveforward, what part of Tennessee if you don't mind me asking? I'm currently in Chattanooga...but originally from West Tennessee (Savannah, Memphis, Jackson) and have been all over...I love it here but understand you missing your friends and fam!
I'm in Lewisburg TN. South Central part. I work in Down town Nashville. I'm not thrilled with the quality of people i have met in my town. If it wasn't for the farm I would move closer to Nashville. I'm in a small country town, but plenty of rift raft people. My ex/baby daddy is NUTS, all our friends are liers, users, back stabers, or drug users, jobless or all of the above. It just is sooooo dissapointing. I've never smoked, never done any drugs, been a pretty good person til my ex came along. I'm mean to him, and I hate it, but he absolutly makes me so flippin crazy. He thinks I should support him, pay all his bills, have sex with him, even though I'm sooooo done with him. What horse friends we have are all older and live over an hour away, one in Leoma, one down in AL, another in McEwin. It just sucks. I'm misserable. I have a two year old and wish I could find other couples or single parents who are respectable citizens to hang out with our kids. I tried the weight watchers meetings to see if I could meet new people there, but no one really had any interest in talking to me, and ones that did really had no use for a new friend. I'm 36 and have no idea how to make new friends.
I am currently in Albuquerque, NM but am moving to Austin, TX in 136 days (not that I'm counting). Moved here from Apex, NC, moved there from Tucson, AZ and moved to Tucson from Glendale, CA. Hoping Austin is the last stop for a while.
It seems that we move every 3 years which is just about how long it takes to make friends. So right when I feel like I finally have a group of friends it is time to move on again. Of course it is also so exciting to try something so new and different.

Anyone else want to share?
I'm in Knoxville and have experienced pretty much the same social environment. Too bad we aren't closer! I'm 37, and I would love to meet some women who 'aren't from here' to hang out with.
I'm from New England, originally (Rhode Island/Massachusetts) but we moved all over so I've lived in pretty much every part of the country now.
