I weigh less than Hubby

It is only a technicality since his weight was up a bit today, but it still feels awesome and it should be more than a technicality in a day or 2 when TOM goes away.

Woo, congrats!

Arctic Mama 02-04-2010 04:48 PM

That was one of my FAVORITE nsv's - Congratulations on becoming a lot more dainty ;)

SnowboundChick 02-04-2010 04:51 PM

That is so sweet!

Selca 02-04-2010 05:02 PM

That's great!!!!!

JustSharing83 02-04-2010 05:19 PM

That's great!!

Weighing more than my husband is what triggered my first real diet 3 years ago and I lost around 50 pounds but then gained some of it back. Sadly, he gained as well so I did stay below his weight. Today he weighs about 50 pounds more than I do, but we are both getting back in the game!

Whoot! :broc:

If you'd married an overweight man this would have happened sooner. ;)

PeanutsMom704 02-04-2010 06:38 PM

great, congrats!!

Hello Nurse 02-04-2010 07:52 PM

Awesome NSV!

I am closing in on mine - I still have 5 lbs on him but at one time it was 20! We used to joke that it was 10 lbs in each boob :) He is shorter than me, so our BMI was pretty much the same at my highest, but now I got him on that one.

NebraskaLady 02-05-2010 01:47 AM

Doesn't it just feel terrific to weigh less than your hubby!!!!! For the first time in all the years that we've been married, I weigh less, 13 pounds less. Fifteen months ago, I was 290 and hubby was 250. Sometimes I still feel I'll wake up and this will all have been a dream.

Beverlyjoy 02-05-2010 06:01 AM

WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!

No one but people who have been overweight know what a terrific accomplishment this is!!!!!

marigrace 02-05-2010 08:19 AM

Ummm....this has all the makings of a competition...it's nice to see a chick get ahead !

Technically I did, his BMI is 27 (he's a shorty for a guy - 5'8"). You'd never guess it to look at him though, he has a little tiny tummy and that's it.

FitGirlyGirl 02-05-2010 09:24 AM

I'll be more than him today since TOM has me up by almost 2 1/2 pounds. Grrrrr!!!

BeachBreeze2010 02-05-2010 09:48 AM

From a scale perspective, I have already beat DH. But from a BMI perspective, I have a LONG way to go. Being 5'1" and married to someone about 6' gives a lot of discrepancy. 210 on me is WAY too much. 210 on him would be about 10lbs over perfect. He is only about 30lbs overweight. That's my problem - I am not too fat, I am too short! Is there a support group for people trying to get taller? LOL!

All kidding aside, that's a great accomplishment! It makes you feel more feminine - at least it does for me.

cfmama 02-05-2010 11:18 AM

The day that happened I rocked out so hard and screamed/jumped/yelled and just generally lost my mind. So I know how you feel! Congratulations!!!!

nelie 02-05-2010 11:46 AM

Congrats :) I don't really forsee it ever happening for me unless my husband gains weight. I think he is down to 135 now. Damn him!

thundahthighs 02-05-2010 02:52 PM

 at nelie. I would be less than hubs right now, except that jack*ss got all motivated by my efforts and has been doing yoga with me, and has his pull-up bar up, and has been refusing seconds on lasagne night... So he's about 5 lbs less than I am right now. He's not terribly tall, neither am I, and he's reasonably solid but by no means "burly". I have to remember to buy him ice cream when I hit the store...

nelie 02-05-2010 03:19 PM

Yeah my husband has been majorly working his pullup bar. He is 5'11 but really he seems to be muscle and bone right now with little fat. I think our scale puts him around 13% fat.

LitChick 02-05-2010 03:58 PM

That's great! :carrot:

I have never weighed more than my husband, but he and I have been losing weight together and of course, being a man, his is a little faster than mine. He's slowly catching up to me and it serves as one of the motivators to keep me on track!

Loving Me 02-05-2010 04:11 PM

Well done, I know how good that feeling is after getting lower than my hubbie for the first time in years just a few weeks ago!
He's trying to lose weight as well now after being told he has to by his dr, so I have competition, I really don't intend for him to get lower than me ever again if I can help it.

FitGirlyGirl 02-06-2010 09:08 AM

thunda and nelie - do y'all mean those pull-up bars you put on the door? Do they work ok without messing up the door or the wall? We've been debating trying one out.

nelie 02-06-2010 11:15 AM

FitGirly - Yup, that is what my husband uses and even I've hung on it. It doesn't mess up the door frame.

lovemyboy 02-06-2010 04:53 PM

Yay!!! :carrot:
