Wow, great job. I like your now picture. That guy was a wack job! Keep up the great work.

I liked this quote:

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I
have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do." -- Eleanor Roosevelt

Yeah I agree that first comment was from a nut case...last time I checked adding 20+ years to your life is definitely a great thing! The comment from tamadear is sooooooo right. Losing such a significant amount of weight isn't really about the 'weight,' it's making internal changes and overcoming mental barriers. You've done awesome and are such an inspiration!!!!!

Yeah, I agree that the first guy sounded completely crazy. Or, another possibility... he's blind!!!

You looked fine in the first picture for an overweight guy-- but let's be honest-- healthier looks and feels better. YOU ROCK.

Good on you for going compliment-fishing. They're well-deserved, and I know you'll continue to get them.

You went fishing for compliments, and the first thing you caught was a....

Well, there always has to be one.

You looked good before, and you look great now. Weight loss is for health anyway.

I love that quote Snowbound Chick! It's one of my personal favorites. I have lived it enough times to know it's true!

Hey Matt, I think your story is awesome and inspirational!

OMG and I had to share this with you. I read the first person's comment on your ireport, I got a similar comment on a photo I posted to my Flickr account. Check it out...http://www.flickr.com/photos/mauzygi...7610938602701/

I haven't decided if I want to delete it, keep it, respond...I was pissed at first then surprised then I too thought it was funny! I'm going to chaulk it up to haters

Congrats again on all your success!!

There are definitely wierdos and trolls all over the internet. I remember one girl posting that someone had bashed her video blog. Just ignore them.

You may have been fishing for compliments, but the more you post your story on the net, the more you are going to inspire people. You are doing an amazing thing with your weight loss. Keep it up!

PS: I think you are a cutie patootie! (I am an old married gal, so I can say that.)
