I struggle with exercise. I go for a while and I enjoy it, mostly, but then I just stop. I get too busy, or overwhelmed or forget I enjoy it :) and thats all she wrote.

I am trying to be better. First off, this time I am going on a three days on one day off rotation, which is a much easier schedule to maintain than the 5 to 6 days a week that Iw as doing last winter. I know when I am going and I know when I am not. I need that kind of structure.
I am doing the 30 day shred and I think I can make it through the whole 30 days this time.
I am also starting the 100 push-ups challenge with a friend of mine tonight, so that will be added to the shredding..
I like to reevaluate every month or so, and add or change my workout. With the new rotation it will be more like every 5 weeks, but you get the idea.

I started with timed swims of 30 minutes 4-5 x weekly.

In the beginning I watched that freaking clock, waiting for the 30 minutes to pass. It felt like YEARS.

I'm glad I started with 30 minutes because it felt DOABLE.

In the beginning, I think my body was so STUNNED to be asked to exercise that it shed pounds very well on that amount-- but now that I'm fitter, I think I'm going to have to increase my minutes.

Still, I would not hesitate to start with something small that feels manageable. You are more likely to stick with it if you do.

I exercise 4 days a week for at least 30 mins at a time(cardio) and I strength train 2-3 times a week for 30 mins each. I usually do some sort of exercise at least 5 days a week. This level is sustainable for me and it has become a part of my routine, I'm very happy with the results and right now I have no plans to workout anymore, I just don't like the gym enough to spend all of my free time there.
