I have a pair of Keen walking shoes, and they're wonderful. I've had them for about three years and wear them every day.

Now, however, I've noticed that my shoelaces come undone annoyingly often and quickly. I don't think it's how I tie them - I've always double-bow'd laces which are too long for a single, and I've not had this problem before.

I do know that feet get smaller and the like. But would this also have an effect on something like your shoelaces?

huh, that is something of an annoying problem. my feet have definitely been shrinking but i haven't really had problems with my laces. i always double knot my laces too and that holds, i wonder why that would come undone. maybe it's the type of laces you have? if the laces are waxy (like on dress shoes) that could be why. if the laces are too long you may try cutting them a little smaller or maybe it's just time to buy some new laces?

Maybe they just get slippery-er as they wear down?

Have you replaced the laces since you have had the shoes? They might just be worn out.

I haven't, but perhaps I should get them checked out
