  • Day 6

    Food - 0
    Water - 1
    Exercise - 1

Okay it is my dh's fault that I bombed my food goal. Normally I can't blame anyone but myself for what I put in my mouth but this is his fault and I'm sure everyone will agree with me. I went out this morning early, did grocery shopping, banking etc and stopped at McD's for breakfast. The dh was sleeping in so I thought this would be a nice surprise. Also he was going out at noon and wouldn't be back all day and I know he tends not to eat if I'm not there to bug him about it. Not eating all day is not unusual for him. Okay so I got McD's breakfast and he decided that his stomach was too upset to eat it. So what am I gonna do with 2 Bacon and Egg McMuffins and 2 hashbrowns? Now I've thrown food out before but this is not the same as food I have made at home. Well I decided I would eat them. ACK! Now if he had eaten them when he was supposed to I would have been okay, instead I am over my points range. Of course I figured once I had gone off the deep end a couple of slices of leftover pizza wasn't the end of the world. Luckily I ended it there. Before I get a bunch of replies saying that I shouldn't blame my dh I am really only kidding about that. Only I control what I eat and yes I could have thrown them out or had one for each meal and then I would have been okay for points. BTW 3 B&E McMuffins and 2 hashbrowns is I think I figured it to be 30 points or so. I can remember when eating that was a normal breakfast for me.
  • this is a learning lesson. I know how you feel with that. i hate to waste food too it is really hard to throw out some thing that you have really loved in the past, now tell me id they taste as good as you expected them too??? and how did they sit n your stomach??
  • Hi everyone. I just wanted to jump in and say you all are doing so so well. I have been doing well too, but not posting my points. I think I am gonna have to drop out. I just have so much going on that I never remember to come on and log in my day. Lame I know, but the truth. I have my own private challenge going on and I think this one on top of it may be more than my poor perfectionist brain can handle ; )

But I am watching you all and cheering from the sidelines!

    Sue, Dyan way to go!!!!!

  • A big fat zero all around for me today... Still, I don't feel it was a total loss. It was son's birthday (15!), and we knew we were taking him to the movies (Goldmember - definitely NOT for anyone younger than 13 or 14...full of penis and testicle jokes...and mini-me humps Beyonce's leg ...it was okay, but not as good as the second Austin Powers movie). I ate a small breakfast so I could have my small movie popcorn (3 WW points). Getting the girl behind the counter to just sell me a %@(*& small popcorn was a major feat!

Me: I'll have small popcorn and a large diet Coke.

Her: You can get the combo (a large soda and large popcorn) for only $1.00 more.

    Me: That's okay. I don't mind.

Her: Well, it's cheaper to get a combo.

Me: That's okay. I just want a small popcorn.

Her: Well, you can get a medium. It comes with free refills.

Me: No, thank you. I just want a small popcorn and a large diet Coke.

    Her: (looking somewhat puzzled) Okay.

Usually, I would have just gotten the large thinking I'd only eat a little and then next thing you know, my fingers would be grazing the bottom of the empty tub! So, that was a good accomplisment, I think...

We took son to the buffet at the casino...I ate a lot, but not nearly what I would have eaten. Ate lots of sushi (2 WW points for 6 pieces) and fresh fruit. What put me over the top was cake and ice cream, but I was expecting it. Knew I was gonna eat it, knew I didn't have enough banked points, but I was okay with it. I knew I would be right back on the wagon today.

  • Sue - yes they tasted fine and stayed in my tum with no troubles. I think you are trying to get at that I probably felt sick after eating so much in one sitting. I was full for several hours. Still I think I should have thrown them out now that I have had some time to think about it.
