First of all, you should be so proud of yourself! I've lost 53 pounds myself now and know how much a difference losing those 50+ pounds can make. I bet you're starting to look fabulous, girl! Good luck with your belly... it'll have to start shrinking eventually, right?

It stands to reason that the fat would come off of our worst (biggest) parts last because that's where lots of the excess fat IS. For me, that was my thighs and calves. Still waiting for it to come off my calves in fact. They are still quite large, though of course waaaaay smaller then when I began. My very, very last 5 lbs to come off of me made a HUGE difference in my overall appearance and in any extra fat I had on me. HUGE. Especially in my stomach and thighs. In fact when I go up five pounds I am amazed at just how much larger my tummy and thighs are. Amazed.

This is what I'm hoping for... the only two problem areas I have left are my stomach and thighs, but my thighs are tolerable. It's only my stomach that is bigger than I would have thought at my size. I wear a size 10 now but I started out 53 pounds ago at a 14, so the belly actually hasn't changed THAT much. I'm never expecting to be a size 0 or anything, but couldn't help but be curious about where my last 14 pounds will leave me. I'll just have to wait and see, but hopefully I'll be like you and finally start losing there. Congratulations on still maintaining your loss, rockinrobin. You really have been a big inspiration for all of us here at 3FC, especially when you yell at us when we need it most (sometimes "It's okay, just do better next time" doesn't cut it, after all!) Thanks for sticking around and being the ever inspirational maintainer! :D

Oh by the way I'm not 100 lb club so I hope I didn't offend by posting here; the topic was just something I could relate to. You guys really are awesome for being able to lose so much weight... truly inspirational.

I'm hoping my belly fat will start shrinking any day now. Of course I *know* it's gotten smaller, but it's still round and worst of all it still hangs the same way in it did 70lbs ago. Even in my progress pictures, it's not as easy to see the changes in my body because my stomach looks so similar in all the pictures.

Belly fat for me as well. I stand in front of the mirror and it still jiggles and there is still so much there. I have 37 more lbs to lose for my goal and I just wonder if I am gonna be able to lose it. i have been trying to focus more on my core muscles though. I was just thinking this exact thing though when I was watching biggest loser the other night. Most of the ladies weigh more than me but they are definitely more tone than I am. *sigh* lol

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to lose it. wow, look how much you've lost! congrats. :)

those ladies on the biggest loser work out like crazy. that's what they spend all their time doing while they're on that show. they'd better have some tone! ha
