Birthday Present to Myself
 

I am recommitting myself to this challenge officially today, my birthday. I was doing really well at the beginning of the year, on here every day getting support, watching what I ate, and exercising almost daily.. I even looked forward to it. In mid july I got a cold and stopped everything. And didn't start again. I got back up on that scale this morning dreading what it would be, but I was only up 3 lbs. I think my body is telling me I cannot afford to gain all that weight back, and its true. I've worked too hard to get to where I was to let it all go because I want to be lazy. I am starting a work out program (and even have a buddy this time!) this afternoon, and I cannot wait. Thanks for reading, I just really needed to get this written down because once I make a commitment that other people know about I am much less likely to give up.

That is a truly wonderful birthday gift to yourself. Not a gift that will be tossed aside in a few months, but one that you will be able to appreciate every day for the rest of your life!
