Hi all, haven't been on here in quite a long time. I have a 11 month old, go to school part-time for nursing and work full time 3rd shift! Whew, if that isn't enough, I trained for most of the summer for a half marathon that I completed on Sunday.
I started my journey Jan 2005 at 324lbs I'm still not where I'd like to be, however, the process will always be a work in progress. I was a size 28W and am now in a 14 misses, so it's kinda like half of what I was!
I just wanted to share my little sucess of running a half marathon, in 2:22:33, as a little victory dance for me
and, hopefully, encouragement to others out there who may be struggling. I know it's hard. Trust me. I did this all with healthy eating and healthy exercise. No drugs, no surgery, no crazy diet plans.
You can do anything you set your mind to do, but you have to do it for you. No one else. Achieving a healthy body is the one thing you need to be selfish about in you lives, that way you will be around for the people that matter most to you for a long time.
