Yes you will. You most certainly will.

And you will also remember in the future that they are indeed "cursed". ;)

ubergirl 09-29-2009 07:56 AM

I am so glad that the entire Atlantic Ocean lies between me and a decent scone.

I've never had one and I don't plan on starting now. lol

findingfawn 09-29-2009 08:42 AM

Eh... you are ok, it's the scones that were in the wrong ;) Now, forgive yourself for letting them get the best of you and move on!

Thighs Be Gone 09-29-2009 09:04 AM

Mm..scones..

and I regret to inform but there are good scones here too! :) I once had the butt to prove it!

yoyoma 09-29-2009 09:25 AM

I used to bake a mean scone, but my house has been a scone-free zone for several years. They are sneaky devils and I need to keep them at more than arm's length.

So, you are right; it's time to get over them and move on!

Mmmm, scones... warm, dripping with butter, piled high with clotted cream and anointed with homemade raspberry jam! Darn you, Rosinante, for mentioning scones!

DCHound 09-29-2009 10:45 AM

Scones are almost always too dry. I think they are a waste of carbs. Now, a honeybun...yum. I almost never think of them anymore... :)

rockinrobin 09-29-2009 10:59 AM

I also remember scones as being very, very dry. Maybe I've just never had them the "right" way. And I think I'll keep it that way....

I have also found great scones here... thankfully the ones that are easily accessible like Starbucks are often a little dry and the bakery with the great ones is too far for me to drive regularly just for a scone...

Rosi, shake off the scones and move on! You will get past them.

Alana in Canada 09-29-2009 01:34 PM

How on Earth did you find yourself alone with four scones?

Repeat after me, "No. No, thank you. Thank you, no."

OK, Scolding over.

JulieJ08 09-29-2009 01:37 PM

Oy, I just try not to think of scones. :o

VickieLou 09-29-2009 03:48 PM

Comfort food is the . Mine today was baked goods. :o

cfmama 09-29-2009 03:57 PM

BAD SCONE. BAD! And why did you have the scones near you my dear? kick those scones to the curb. They never did ANYTHING good for you.

Shannon in ATL 09-29-2009 04:04 PM

My comfort food today was caramel & chocolate kettle corn... eek. At least it was an all natural one with no HFC, right? ;)

Hope the rest of your day went better, Rosinante! :)

Rosinante 10-01-2009 02:47 AM

hee hee hee hee - I never saw anyone post drool before - but lots of you did at the thougth of scones!

They gone! Promise.

time2lose 10-01-2009 08:43 AM

I have never had a scone and I am giving myself permission to try one when I go to England. Since I have never been but plan to someday, I don't think that scones will be much of a factor in my weight. :)

That is a different story for you my friend, Rosinante, the happy plodder, so way to go making them "gone"!
