The Dr. Oz Show.

  • Dr. Oz has a daily show on TV. It is really really good! I love his manner - honest & passionate - yet a kind approach to healthy living. I think his show will have an impact on many people's lives.

Just today - he was demonstrating CPR and the Heimlick manuver - It's been so many years since I've had that training - it was wonderful to see and be reminded. I love that he showed how a person can do the Heimlick to themselves on a chair. (I actually did this a few years ago - when I was choking and alone at home)

I would recommend recording it - if you can't see it when it's on.

    Anyone else watched the show?

  • I have also been really enjoying the show. It's more about overall health and it has really opened my eyes on some things.

    Love it!
  • I catch about 20 minutes of his show while I'm at home for lunch. So far, I am totally wishing I could watch the whole thing. I find it incredibly informative. I don't know why I'm always so enthralled about how the human body works. It's just amazing. And he explains it all in a way that you can understand.

Today he had on a cowboy who was about 100 lbs over weight, had plaque buildup in his heart, and his blood sugar was 176. He's putting him on a vegan diet and will bring him back in a month to see how he's done. I just LOVE before & afters....
  • I catch this when I can usually it's on Startv at 10pm but I really do like his show a lot. I always liked when he was on oprah, the only reason I watched her show sometimes.
  • I've been watching it @ 10 p.m. as well - so much info and in a matter of fact manner. The info on heart disease in women vs men is so important - we don't necessarily get arm numbness and chest pains, but more likely heartburn/indigestion, backpain and/or vomiting as a sign of a heart attack. And keep an aspirin in your purse to CHEW in case you think you're having one!!! That literally saved my aunt's life, she was feeling weird and altered and knew something was wrong, chewed it and called 9-11 and they told her that saved her yay!
  • I've had the flu and spent the last two days in bed. This gave me some time to catch up on my DVR'd shows, one of which was Dr. Oz. What a ton of practical information! My husband said that he found the show to be extremely boring. Lucky for him that I find this stuff vastly interesting.
