Chipping away

I finally saw the 250's today! Which was a welcome milestone considering I've been struggling a bit the last several weeks. Not with my actual eating, but with my thoughts about what I wanted to be eating. The urge to give in to my compulsive eating impulses are strongest when my weight loss is at its slowest and the last month has been slow for me - a taste of things to come, no doubt, as the early pounds are the easiest to lose. So I've been in a funk mood-wise lately, but getting out of the 260's gives me a boost of hope.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that if you feel you are hanging on by a thread, just keep hanging on. If you do, you will get where you are going eventually. Stay strong, my 3FC friends!

Thank you for the encouragement, I'm where you were and could really use it!!!... I'm very happy for you!! I've been struggling to get out of the 260's for the past month...and I am so close. I was down to 262 yesterday but today has been an emotional nightmare...hopefully next week I'll be out of the 260's.... Sorry for the rant
:congrat:

CC, you're doing great. Wonderful new milestone you've hit.

I'm sorry if you've addressed this before, but I was wondering, how's your exercise routine looking? You mentioned your food, but I was wondering if you're ready to kick that up a notch? Get things moving around a bit perhaps?

Regardless, just keep at it. Keep on going. Before you know it those 250's will be a distant memory. Those 240's are going to be yours before you know it.

Awesome!!! I'm so anxious to get down to the 250's myself, and I'm getting close! I'll feel like I'm back in high school again. :dizzy:

Anyway, great job, it must be an amazing feeling!!!

Excellent news! It's easy to feel motivated and happy when the scale is flying down, but it's a little tougher when we don't see that reward. Congratulations for sticking with it and keeping your eye on the goal--your hard work is paying off. Good for you!

Argh, Robin. You are right to ask... Exercise is my downfall. I despise it. Even though I know it's important. So I'm inconsistent at best. I think having done so well so fast with so little, it's been easy to think it's not all that important at this stage, but maybe that's what's changing. Sigh. It's probably time to focus more attention there.

CC, what about those Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds DVD's? They're awesome! Have you ever tried them? A GREAT way to get into exercise.

I know you know this - the smaller we get (& you're getting smaller!) the harder it is going to be to keep on getting that calorie DEFICIT. Exercise becomes EVEN more vital at that (this?) point. You say you despise it..... well, truth is you don't HAVE to love it. It's just one of those things that you "do". But I know this, when you do get into it, you will LOVE what it does for you. Love, Love, LOVE it. I think you will wonder why in the world you didn't incorporate it into your routine earlier.

CC, never mind the calorie deficit, but you're aiming to lose FAT, not MUSCLE. We've GOT to keep that to a minimum. Exercise is the only chance we've got at doing that.

Get yourself moving kiddo. You won't regret it. I know it for sure. :)

FANTASTIC! And, thank for the reminder.

C.C., you are doing so great. It is true that the losses may slow down, but you just have to trust that each day you stick with your plan a tiny bit of fat is leaving your body.

Robin has just reminded me about the Leslie Sansome DVD's, which I really enjoy. Maybe it is time to dust them off. Even though they are called "Walk Away the Pounds", it isn't just walking. She does some leg lifts, kicks, some upper body work, etc. It is a pretty good workout, especially if you are a novice exerciser.
