I was wondering

when you are losing weight where do you first notice the weight loss?

Elladorine 08-31-2009 10:59 PM

Around my middle, where I button my jeans. I "feel" it long before I actually see it though.

CLCSC145 08-31-2009 11:12 PM

In the places I LEAST need to lose it!

same!! hips, thighs and butt....those things that never really got fat easily. but lord when i need new clothes and that big ole belly is in the way? ^$#@$%

FreeSpirit 08-31-2009 11:36 PM

Boobs. :(

Onederchic 08-31-2009 11:37 PM

My huge huge face :o

loseitforgoodnow 08-31-2009 11:37 PM

I have heard the face goes usually first. We will see :)

ANewCreation 08-31-2009 11:48 PM

Just as I have put it on everywhere it seems to be an overall weight loss--little bit here little bit there. I don't see any weight loss at this point but my family does, they say I just look smaller overall. Weird, huh?

SwimGirl 08-31-2009 11:50 PM

Mine definitely comes off my waist! Not so much the belly.. but higher, under my bra strap... and then I get to this "fun" part, where my shirts are really loose there and tight on my belly...

I notice it in my neck. those little "creases" go away.

Cleobaby 09-01-2009 12:34 AM

When I lose weight people usually notice it in my face first....I notice it in my ribcage....my bra doesn't fit so tight. :)

cfmama 09-01-2009 12:35 AM

my face went first... and then my ankles. lol!

SmallSteps 09-01-2009 12:43 AM

Mine always shows up first in my face then my boobs.

Symmetry 09-01-2009 05:20 AM

My back and stomach. :o

GirlyGirlSebas 09-01-2009 07:01 AM

My waist. My waistbands get a bit looser, athough the "overhang" takes quite a while to shrink up.

ernurse 09-01-2009 07:09 AM

Yes the boobs seem to go first, they are definately not what they used to be. In my 230's I noticed the other day the inside of my thighs look a little saggy! OMG that was gross, Okay so I know it will get worse before it gets better but for heavens sake I'm going to look like a 90 year old woman by the time I finish at 130. Plastic surgery here I come, eventually.

TJFitnessDiva 09-01-2009 08:07 AM

my face and my waist were the first things I noticed but then again I looked at myself every morning and had to wear pants everyday ;)

Truffle 09-01-2009 02:21 PM

My face. Usually it'll take me by surprise--I'll glance in the mirror one day and notice that my cheeks are "sinking in".

time2lose 09-01-2009 02:33 PM

I think everyone is different. I first could tell a difference in my hands and wrists, which were not the first areas I would have chosen. :)

ubergirl 09-01-2009 02:59 PM

My butt and thighs, where I don't really need to lose so much. Then face. I sure wish I'd lose some of that belly!!

Smileydd 09-01-2009 03:09 PM

I have noticed mine in my face & arms. I can see a wrist where as before my 30 it was all one limb

matafleur 09-02-2009 01:35 AM

My face and breasts, which aren't that fat to begin with.

Next I notice it on the insides of my knees. I carry most of my weight below the waist - I have the largest thighs known to humankind - and I have those awful, disgusting lumps of fat on the insides of my knees. Since I sleep on my side with my knees together I can feel when the fat there starts to go - there are bones under there!

Rosinante 09-02-2009 02:36 AM

My face/chin. It's good, because it's what other people see, and people never realize how heavy I am, because the face is slimming down.

The rest of me - I never notice any change by eye, because my shape doesn't alter, it just becomes a smaller version of the same old apple.

The slowest place is always the upper spare tyre, that bit between under the boobs to the ''waist''. Comparatively speaking, my bum's not bad and my bra band size goes down but I can only wear buttoned things at least 2 sizes bigger than fit everywhere else.

kasmin 09-03-2009 05:37 AM

jaw line area (which I like) and the top part of my boobs (which really sucks--that's the only fat I DO want to keep:p)

Jacque9999 09-03-2009 06:27 AM

I read somewhere once that you basically lose the weight in the reverse order that you gain it....Seems true with me...my face was the last place I gained, and the first place I lost....well at least when I started losing, folks would say, "Your face looks thinner".

bcort 09-03-2009 10:45 AM

My body gains weight like you blow up a glove - it gets bigger & bigger in the middle & slowly trickles out to the extremities. It'll probably be the same way when I lose weight. I'll slowly get thinner on my ankles & wrists before the middle ever deflates. (It's all hypothetical at this point)

Aclai4067 09-03-2009 10:57 AM

The only place I can really SEE the weight loss at this point is my feet and wrists. But I'm down a size so I've clearly lost overall. And my inner thighs must have been the first thing to go down because I stopped wearing holes through my jeans almost immediately.

findingfawn 09-03-2009 11:02 AM

I think I saw it in my face first, I now am seeing some changes in my stomach (very very slowly... and that is where I need it the most!)

aprilcp12344 09-03-2009 11:05 AM

Always the face!

K-boogie 09-10-2009 01:43 PM

My face first

Nikki6kidsmom 09-10-2009 04:30 PM

Face and chinS .. I have lost my extra chins now I am just down to 1 , woohoo!

starfishkitty 09-10-2009 11:48 PM

Hmmm... face and sides.... which kinda ticks me off because I look WAY more slender if we're facing each other.... but if you're looking at me from the side I still look just as fat.
