When I had surgery, for a week I needed help for everyhing... EVERYTHING, I couldnīt get out of bed by myself, shower, go to the bathroom... it was horrible, and to top it off from all the water retention, I was 10lbs heavier than when I went into surgery !! But then... after week one I slowly started regaining my independence, pain was fading, and I began unbloting... such a feeling of joy !!!!! The process sucks BIG TIME... but the reward is just amazing once you recover, and you will get there... SOON... Hang in there !!

Unpleasant topic: Bile salt diarrhea, Did your doc talk to you about this? 5% of the people who have their gallbladders removed apparently get this. I didn't nwo what it was until TODAY. But I definately have it. (I had my gallbladder otu in 06 I think)

My doctor did... I don't appear to have any side effects SO FAR related to having it out... but time will tell.
|
My doc didn't tell me that. Docs are kind of idiots sometimes.

I gained 11# after my hysterectomy. All fluid. My hands and feet were puffy. Even my abdomen was bloated with fluid retention, besides the gas. I'm thinking it took a week or so for it all to be gone. Dulcolax was my friend for awhile too!
