I've been in that same place. I will tell you that giving up has not helped me or my health. Just keep going. You have it in you I know it. Before long you will see a dramatic difference.

If you work your plan than IT will work for YOU! No one ever got anywhere by giving up... especially when they are WINNING! You ARE winning this war on obesity! Your body if nothing else knows that you have lost 40 lbs. Your joints, your heart, your blood. They know.

Keep at it. Visit often. You CAN DO THIS!

Boy, you said a mouthful there! The eating and exercise are the engines that move us toward our goal --- no question! But NO ONE told me about all the other parts of this vehicle: the upholstery of weird little angers or the trunk full of tears that come out of nowhere or the insecurities or all the rest. And if I had to have all this stuff to make a car, why couldn't it be a Prowler or a Miata instead of a 1975 station wagon?? IT'S LIKE WE ARE ALL TEENAGERS AGAIN! Aaaarrrrrgh!

LOL! OK --- maybe not quite that bad!

I am glad to hear you stuck with your plan and are hanging in there. T'aint no other way to go to get to where we wanna get. Unless you can travel like this gal...:).....

Good job on sticking to your plan and taking your walk, despite your funk. That's how this war is won, one small battle at a time.

I've lost 37 pounds and only a couple of people have noticed. Some days I feel thinner and other days I feel the same as before. In fact, I was thinking yesterday that I'd been stuck at this weight for WEEKS when in reality I've been here for about 8 days. I expect a downward drop of a pound or two any day. I don't lose weight very fast, so sometimes it really does feel as if I'm making no progress, but I am--thank goodness I have my charts and graphs to tell me that yes, I AM making progress!

Hang in there! You are doing it!

Your doing so Well. Keep Up the Good Work! :bravo: Have you tried on some clothes in a smaller size? Have you taken your measurements? Sometimes we need NSV to help encourage us. I'm sure you feel better.

I just saw your photo thread and I see a major difference! In fact it looks like you've lost a lot more than 40 lbs! You're doing great!
