  • Yesterday, I went to King's Island. I fit into all the rides and since the buffet UK tickets were sold out, I had to get my own lunch and dinner. I also knew that there was a subway. I took lots of snacks which was great. One Subway sandwich and an apple can sure fill someone up! I did get a funnel cake but I knew how much points it was. I was well within my daily and weekly points. ^____^ Although my boyfriend's Skyline chili looked great, I merely told myself, "your treat is that funnel cake tonight." Shut those thoughts up!

My body is very sore from all that walking. I usually try to walk the park in a circle but my boyfriend made us walk double back a lot. I am so exhausted, physically and mentally. I didn't exercise today but I walked to Kroger to pick up a few things. My boyfriend was quite amazed. I replied, "If I ain't exercising, I am at least walking three blocks over there." The ironic thing is my boyfriend had trouble fitting into one of the rides because of his pot belly.

  • Yay!!!!
  • Amuzement parks can kill someone's diet. Great job on limiting yourself. Keep going!!!
  • How wonderful!!
  • Yippee!!! You did something totally amazing -- you JUST. HAD. FUN. Without judging yourself. Without beating yourself up. You just went out there and had some joy in your life.
AND you did it without binging out on carnival food. You were aware, you had a treat, you ACCOUNTED for it, you walked...pretty much perfect all the way around, and deserving of a great big

    You ROCK!!!!

  • Woot! Way to go! Glad you had a wonderful time.
  • That is so amazing! I am so happy that you had a GREAT time and got tons of exercise to boot!
  • That's great, congrats! Your starting weight and height are the same as mine, so I find your success very motivational, thanks for sharing!

I have plans to go to an amusement park in October, I really want to lose weight by then so I can feel comfortable trying to fit on rides.

I've only been kicked off one before, but it scarred me pretty badly...
  • YGG! and keep it up, maybe you can shave off a bit of his pot as well
  • I'm so glad you had such a fun time. Congrats on staying on your plan, and pat yourself on the back for all of that walking!
  • I'm glad you went and had a great time riding the rides! Isn't it great not catching and holding your breath hoping that you can fit? The food offerings can be a pain in the rump to navigate but it sounds like you made great choices
  • Great job! Love how you managed to stick to the one treat -- always tough for me! how fun. good for you.
  • I'm going to kennywood in September, hopefully will have lost 10-15 lbs by then. I seem to keep losing and gaining the same 5 lbs. I need to get on track!

    congrats to you though!
  • Thank you everyone!

I just hope I can do that in a month or two. I will be at Cedar point for three days. It's easy to stick to one treat when you are around it only one day. Maybe I'll do two days of italian ices (seems to be around 2-3 points) and then, the big treat of funnel cake again. I've already looked at their website and they do have a subway. ^_^

I'm still feeling it in my quads and lower back/hip area. Aghhh.

I think the reason why I fit into those rides was because I lost 15-20 pounds by walking alone at work slowly over time. I think I must have been inches bigger than I was when I "officially" started my weight loss journey the first time around. I barely knew my weight at my biggest, let alone my inches. I'm not going to worry about Cedar Point because I figure by August I can lose an inch or two AND I fit into the rides at Kings Island. Surely, I can fit into those. During the first line wait, my boyfriend was pointing out every guy/girl that had a bigger body that still rode. Although I still felt larger than them. He knew I was terrified.

I am disappointed because I'm not exercising again. I made Tuna Noodle Casserole and that tore up my stomach. My stomach is still rolling from last night although it is getting better slowly. Hopefully, it will be better by morning! I just know that the idea of crunches or knee lifts is just making me feel sicker.
  • Truly a woman of power! a woman on a mission, proud of you taken control and kickin butt!!
