Cant Afford Benefiber, any cheaper alternatives?

  • I have a hard enough time buying a container of Soy Protein Powder for $12....now I have considered getting some Benefiber, but OMG....its expensive too!

Does anybody know of any fiber supplements to add to food or drinks that is cheaper?

    Im poor!
  • You can get powdered psyllium husk (which is the only ingredient other than flavorings in Benefiber) for cheaper, especially at health food stores.
  • We buy the Equate brand of Metamucil at Walmart for about $6.00. It is psyllium husk, comes sugar free, and doesn't taste that bad. We mix it with water and a splash of cranberry juice and chug it down.
  • I just dropped $40 on a can of Arbonne orange fibre booster. I feel you pain.
  • I'm sorry to sound so dense, but will this do for a person?

Oh, and Pita09.... your haircolor looks so nice on you! I love it!
  • Just as a point of accuracy, Benefiber is wheat dextrin (gluten free), not psyllium.

  • Oh, that's right, I always mix it up with Metamucil...still, the effect should be just about the same, yes?
