Smile You can make a good choice

So the scale has me a little growly along with not sleeping well last night

Last week I was sick and ate poorly with little excercise. I am still congested and I may or may not start my new training plan this week. At the end of this week and next I am travelling. Alot of me wants to shelve the whole watching what I eat and excercising thing for the next 2 weeks until things calm down. I always accept my lumps and would accept a 3-5 lb backslide.

With these things in mind I didn't pack my breakfast or lunch today figuring I would indulge whatever I desired. Well I could have saved myself money. Got to the drive thru and one of my options for breakfast was available, she even looked up the calorie count. So I had 250 cal for breakfast, an apple, yougurt, and my standard and unhealthy 2 diet cokes (I switch to water when I get to work).

Yesterday I walked my 1.5 mi at lunch, and weather permitting I will do the same today. And I realise this is not the 24 mi I have been doing but its not zero miles either.

So I go forward gently, imperfectly, but knowing I can take the high road and perhaps for once I can spend a couple of weeks eating a little more loosely, excercising a little less, and maintain instead of gain. I think I can.

Progress, not perfection, as they say.....I think you know what works best for you.

Being on the road can be difficult. You've got a great attitude about it - do the best you can with what you've got available.

Something that helps me is prepping lunch the night before so that I don't have to prep it in the morning.

You and me both! I'm slurping one right now...

Rochemist, it sounds like you are still being mindful. That's what matters!

Nice way to stay on track! Remember to take time for yourself in her busy schedule over the next two weeks and I'm sure you'll do fine.

I think this is huge!

You can maintain! Yes. You don't have to gain. I'm very proud of you.
