I am doing okay. Only 1 lb down this week, which I know is because of not being able to do my bike for 5 days. I am back on my bike, though. So, slower than I would like but it'll pick up. I have been enjoying all the fish, asparagus, etc that I've gotten into recently and I even joined facebook, possibly emboldened by being less fat :)

It will. People don't just wake up and begin change. Change is a process, and it includes Precontemplation (not thinking about it) WAY before you even get to Contemplation (acknowledging a problem but not sure if you're going to do anything about it) and Preparation (preparing to change). And that's all BEFORE you even get to the first extra step of exercise or choice of broccoli over ice cream.

I highly recommend The Four Day Win, which helped me a great deal in understanding my own struggles with the process of change. I got it out of the library... and two days later bought my own copy.

Seriously, you're doing exactly what you need to be doing to get to the point where you are comfortable acting. And we'll be right here for you along the path... whatever section you're in.

I'm tired, still not 100% from my 10K on Sunday, so I rested yesterday. I was starving last night and ate 500 cal above my 1600 limit. It was all carbs, some crackers (Mary's Gone Crackers - have you tried these? they are my new fav), extra rice with dinner, some baked kettle chips, and an ice cream sandwich. Back to the gym today seeing my trainer for 30min then a short easy run, maybe 2 miles. I also have some nice salmon for dinner...yum!

8 day of no junk food, that's fantastic!

I just finished snacking on an apple and I'm tired. Stayed up too late and couldnt' sleep, so this morning felt like it came to early. I had had a great workout yesterday mopping my whole house and today I'm going to the gym at lunch (it's been a month) but I'm back to the summer routine, kids are at daycare/camp all day and I actually have my lunches free now. So I can do something about the exercise now! Feeling pretty good regardless of wanting to crawl under my desk and take a nap.

Hey Snowbound--WTG on the junk food thing. That is a beautiful accomplishment.

I am doing okay today. I ate mueslix, blackberries and Greek yogurt for breakfast. For lunch I had Shiratake noodles w/broth and cream cheese topped with roasted chicken. I really love the Shiratake noodles and they are bargain @ 40 calories. Afterwards I ate a square of dark chocolate. I also ran this morning--a short one @ two miles but I did it and feel good now. The scale was good today today. I am down 1/2 a pound. I am really proud of that and excited--yes, I know it's a very small amount.

It is rainy here and we have a playdate in a couple of hours.

You guys (gals) are so awesome! Thank you all for your support about my fraud comment.

I'm feeling pretty good today. I'm doing that pre-contemplation thing about exercise lately. I have a refrigerator full of vegetables and healthy food, it's just up to me to prepare it in a healthy manner!
