very proud of my calorie intake this week

:carrot:I have managed to eat 2100 calories most days except for one when I ate 2600, I know that is still kind of high but I was eating waymore than this before I started this accountable eating. I feel better physically because Im eating about the same amount of food daily and a lower fat intake. Im buying a scale this weekend;) and I will see if i have lost any weight. I intend on decreasing calories even more but slowly, easy does it. Before I would just go down to 1500 cals a day right away and I would be in starvation mode. So at least this way I can gradually cut down and not feel so deprived. Thats how I quit smoking too. :carrot::carrot::carrot:

Honestly you can easily lose weight on 2100 calories a day at your weight. Don't go down until you have to! I am very proud that you have managed to keep your calories under control and that you realize that even though you had a day at 2600 that it's just a blip. It's under your maintenance level so you're all good!

Some diet/nutrition people actually recommending doing a zig-zag method where you up your calories from your regular weight loss amount every 3rd or 4th day. The increase still has to come from healthy calories but the theory is it keeps your body 'guessing' and out of starvation mode. So, by some experts recommendations, your 2,600 calorie day was a good thing so long as they were still healthy calories.

Good job!

Congratulations, you should be proud. I took the same approach when I first started this journey. I gave myself a calorie range that I thought that I could handle and then lowered it later. You will figure out what calorie range you need to be in to lose weight.
