Default Tried a new exercise class tonight!

[COLOR="Blue"]My daughter finally convinced me to go to her cycle sculpt class tonight. I finally had the confidence to try it. It was wonderful! Hard, fun, and I am thrilled I did it! I'm a bit worried I may need help getting off the toilet tomorrow! We did 30 min. of circuit training after and that was hard but elating for me! Zumba was next but I am still too self concious to try it! One day. I just wanted to share an excercise victory. A few months ago I could not have done it. I can't wait to go back on Thursday!/COLOR

Way to go Buttercup. I do Zumba and don't worry, at least in my class, there are a lot of non-dance majors! We stake out our spots at the back of the room---as far from the mirrors as possible!! I have not done a cycle class yet because I imagined it to be somewhat boring, but if you recommend it I may "give it a spin".

Good for you. I've been wanting to try some of the classes at my gym, but I'm too chicken. I'm trying to build up strength and stamina before venturing in there!!! So, I'm impressed with you!

I love classes like that. How cool that you tried something out of your comfort zone. That's how your body shakes loose those pounds!

Thanks for all the great comments! It is fun! The music is upbeat and you keep turning up the tension and then back down. Ride fast and then slow. Then the harder part of standing up and pedaling and then squatting over the seat and pedaling-what a burn! Some things I couldn't do long but I just kept pedaling. I am back in there tomorrow! The Zumba is next. I may try standing in the back and away from mirrors too!!!
