Dog bouncing back
... and I didn't medicate my anxiety/fatigue with food! Well, a bit, I suppose, when I went to the supermarket last night to get the hot roast chicken the vet said would tempt her to eat (it didn't, not until midnight...) I bought bread, baked beans and a small amount of bacon for me, things I haven't eaten in quite a while but absolutely within the calorie budget. I bought them more because they were quick, my brain had kind of reached squeezed out point by then - but they Were tasty too! And Well within the calorie budget!
Thanks to everyone for their prayers and kind thoughts. |
Glad to hear she's bouncing back...and glad to hear you didn't give in!
|

|

|
Thanks everybody!
Back to the vet for a routine post-op checkup in about an hour but I think they'll be pleased. |
Update: they're pleased with her but they also say there's a high likelihood of recurrence as the tmour had probably metastasized. However, she's fine at the minute and, before the surgery, was also very well in herself, just drinking and p.ing like mad, so I'm sure she's going to have a good quality of life for a while yet. I will keep monitoring her though, and I promise not to be selfish when the time comes.
She's dog #6. Dog #4 had a lump taken off his 'bits' about 5 years ago, and the vet said there was a high chance of recurrence within the year. Not a trace. So maybe #6 will be lucky too. |
