Truth in advertising?
I haven't seen this posted anywhere on this site, but if I'm repeating someone else I apologize. I saw this blog post today and thought y'all would find it interesting:

I can just see myself looking around to see if anyone's looking, sit down - check the scale and then get back up. I guess at least I'd burn more calories standing waiting for the bus than sitting (but I've got issues with my knees and lower back, so eventually I'd have to just swallow my pride and sit down).
The thing is, I'm not ashamed of what I weigh. I don't even mind telling people. If anyone would ask, I would tell them without embarassment (and have - which really surprised one guy who asked obviously trying to intimidate and humiliate me), but the idea of the choice being taken out of my hands is disturbing. Outing yourself is one thing, but making it everyone else's business doesn't sit right (pun not originally intended). |
Right there in the picture, she has her big bag on the bench beside her.
