Feeling bad.. question

well I haven't been able to get any exercise in past few days.. I've been in a lot of pain. about 5 years ago I had my gallbladder taken out & now I've been having the exact same type of pain in same area & its like I wake up with it & go to sleep with it.. Ive been on this massaging chair most the time , it doesn't really help , just a bit when I actually just stay there ... now, I definitely don't want to give up, **** I've done that a million times.. but I've been doing soo well with my eating but I'm feeling really discouraged. I still have a lot to lose, so could I still lose weight just by eating really good? I have an ultrasound on Tuesday so I still have to wait & then wait for results.. & I'm too afraid to take any pain pills in case its my liver, and that wouldn't be good right. & well pfft, if I was taking the pills I'd be on them all day, so not really a good idea anyways.

Meh, sorry to be a bother.. just wanted to know if by keeping the calories on the lower side (1200-1500) without me being able to move much and all will still get to shed a bit? :(

Yes, you can lose weight just by eating really good. I used Prevention magazine's calculator to see how many calories a day you burn without any exercise. I don't know your age but it estimates that you burn 2182 calories a day. Eating 1500 calories a day should still give you a pound a week loss.

With your pain situation right now, I think you should be happy with a pound or even just maintaining.

I hope that the doctor finds your problem and you feel better soon!

thank you =)

makes me feel a little better lol I was a huge emotional eater, I just refuse to go back to that you know, so I guess I just need some positive that will keep me going

& I'm 24 .. I was actually thin when I started having problems with my gallbladder, but I never ate normally .. was either on some starvation diet or eating too much , Im sure thats what killed it back then .. & im sure thats somehow connected to the problems im having now, since my eating habits were bad for a long time since x.x

You can totally still lose weight just be eating right and 1500 would not be too high for you. I eat 1700 and I'm only about 40 lbs heavier and lose very nicely on that.

I hope you feel better soon! It sucks to be in that much pain for that long!

You received some good advice. I only want to add... what is the alternative? You have to keep going and eat healthy! Otherwise, do you just give up and eat more calories, eat the wrong foods, and put on more weight?

You can do this! I know how it is to be discouraged, but I know you can make it through!
