This may seem weird but my NSV is that I could move my seat up closer to the steering wheel in my truck and now I don't have to use my tippy toes to drive!

I had such a good NSV today I felt like it deserved its own thread... and that's a NSV in itself lol

Thanks Meredith! It was fun, and I heard a collective gasp when I held up my old pants in front of me. The props were a good indicator of how far I'd come, I was bigger than all the women at the meeting at one point in my life, and now I'm giving them advice on how to lose weight. It was definitely a cool experience!

I have one! Today, I am comfortably wearing a beautiful bracelet that my husband bought for me more than a year ago. I couldn't even get the clasps to meet before! Granted, when he gave it to me, I was pregnant and swollen. This is still the first time I've been able to get it clasped without it being way too tight, even though I've tried to wear it a couple of times post-baby. It's a small NSV, but I am thrilled about it!

I told the little Girl Scouts at Kroger "no thank you" when they asked if I would like to purchase come Girl Scout cookies. My first thought was that I could buy a box, freeze them then unfreeze one or two at a time as a treat down the road, but I know me, I've lived with me for 27 years and that is not what would happen with them. First if I bought one box, then I wouldn't be able to decide what kind and end up buying one of each kind. I would freeze them, but in a week or so when I was having a week moment, I would unfreeze a few, then the whole box, then all the boxes and they would be gone with in a month and I would be back to the beginning. So, I just told them "no thanks" and moved on, not regretting my decision at all.

The last time I bought bras, I refused to think I needed a band as big around as I needed. So the bras I bought last summer have a constant problem with the straps falling down. I rarely wear them, just wear the couple I have that do fit.

So this morning I put on one of the too-small ones because the others were in the laundry. I ended up grocery shopping and going for a 2 mile hike today. And have not had to push the straps back onto my shoulders once!

It's dumb but I thought it was cool.

I turned down the opportunity to go eat chinese food. I'm still speechless.

Last night my husband and I went to a costume party. We wore toga things I'd made...mine was mostly tight and black with flowers on it. I dressed myself up pretty nicely, I thought. I guess I must have, because I got checked out a LOT at the party! :)

Yesterday I completed my first 5K Walk. My time of 52 minutes, not great but I'm proud of myself for even signing up for it and finishing it. It was a georgous day, in the mid 50's, perfect for a walk/run.

I wrote this somewhere else, but it's a fun one! I got out my spring/summer clothes and usually everything would be tight and unflattering and i'd be bummed out and have to buy new stuff -- but last summer i bought a LOT of new clothes and this year, they're all a bit loose! yay!

I recently started using Facebook and a couple weeks ago was able to take a picture of myself to use on there which actually makes me look pretty! I've had more than one comment on it from both RL and online friends that it's a good picture and that I'm pretty. I'm so pleased. I AM PRETTY AGAIN. And I feel no shame now at all about getting back in touch with old friends on there; I'm not wasting my life's energy carrying around a huge shell of fat anymore.

I treated myself to a new ring today as a reward for my 100 pound milestone. It's a wide band and I'm having it sized to an 8.5. I used to wear a 10.

Awesome NSVs all! And congrats, Warmaiden....I've been "documenting" my weight loss on Facebook over the past few years. Lots of friends have been totally supportive and I think I've inspired a few.

My NSV was a shopping trip in my storage boxes. My jeans still "fit", but I'm getting tired of hitching them up, and the baggy butt is none to attractive, either.

I had a few pairs of almost-new Land's End size 20 jeans stuck away from a couple years ago, and I pulled them out today, hoping to be able to zip them by our vacation in late May. To my surprise, they zip NOW. They are a bit snug yet, to be sure, but I'm thrilled the zipper went UP! Hooyah!

I was running late and didn't eat breakfast. I was headed to a LONG meeting and knew I wouldn't make it w/out breakfast (that's a nsv in itself....I used to skip breakfast for the longest time...) anyway, I dashed to the store and although I was tempted by the yummy bakery aisle, I zoomed right on by and bought a fat-free yogurt and some fruit instead.
