Question about Calories

When making meals I'm not sure exactly how to figure the nutrional facts.

For examples lets say I'm making spaghetti (low fat version of course) ;)

ingrediants:

ground turkey ( 5 servings ) blahblah amount of calories and yadda yadda amount of fat

Tomato Sauce..(13 servings) blahblah calories and yadda yadda fat

Mushrooms .. (2 servings ) blahblah calories and yadda yadda fat

How exactly would I figure all these ingrediants in together and estimate what the serving size is as well as the calorie and fat content per serving? :?:

Anyone have some hints to throw at me?
Thanks
Traci

yOU NEED TO ADD UP THE TOTAL CAL/FAT/ETC. THE DIVIDE IT BY THE AMOUNT OF SERVINGS- IF THER ARE 10 CUPS OF SPAGHETTI THEN USE THAT, OR MAKE THE SERVINGS SIZE 2CUPS AT 5 SERVINGS THE DIV BY 5.

GOOD LUCK

That's the way I figure out the calories for everything.

For each item, multiply the fat/calories/etc by the # of servings listed on the box/can/jar, then divide the total by the number of servings you actually "dish out". I would just suggest doing the spaghetti separately from the meat and sauce...

AKA Mix everything together except the spaghetti, and total the calories, then divide by servings.

figure out calories of spaghetti, and divide by servings. Then serve it up separately, because if you mix spaghetti and sauce together you will not get equal portions of all the ingredients. You are a lot closer to equal portions of ingredients if you serve them separately.
