Name your ticker dude.
 

I mentioned in another post that I thought I ought to give the horse in my ticker a name.

I've decided to name him Charlie or more fully Charlie Horse. Mostly because I love the song by Great Big Sea called "Concerning Charlie Horse."

Come all ye friends I'll sit ya down and sing a doleful ditty
Twas on a day in April month we started from the city
We planned a day or two at mars we stalwart men were chosen
To remove ol' Charlie from Angle Pond, who fell in when the pond was frozen

We seven men came roarin' down on the road to Roaches Line
We might have stopped in Avondale, or Brigus might have been fine
We was hungry as sin but we never stopped in nor took any time to park us
We all of us knew that we must get through to remove ol' Charlie's carcass

Charlie's gone to the big corral, where all good horses go

In the car was Noel Pocketcomb, and beside him Mol' was coastin'
And Barracuda Bill and Jimmy Clark in the backseat he was roostin'
There was Smiley Stubborn of the mounted police, it wasn't hard to find him
And Johnny Pollock And Sagebrush Sam was sittin' right in beside him

Kevin and Buck was also there for they brought some braun and brains
They was aimin' to help as best they could to remove ol' Chuck's remains
Charlie was like a brudder' to Shave and he loved him well of course
Charlie was a very good man you see although he'd been a horse

With two stout doors and a few strong ropes we removed old Shavy's friend
We gave him a decent send-off with all our hats removed
So that on behalf ol' Shave and his friend our loyalty was proved

Somewhere up in the great beyond his eyes are shining bright
Charlie nods an approving nod 'cause he knows we did him right
Shave will join him there one day and he'll bring the harness leather
and so unto all eternity they'll pull the logs together

Odd, I think of pain in my leg when I hear charlie horse. lol

Beautiful Ace - there's a bit of a double meaning in naming my ticker that for sure, lol. And Jen, thankfully I purged all memories of "lambchop" from my memory. heheh

i don't know what I would name mine... Maybe like... "Starfire" since it's stars... Lame I know. lol

I like Charlie Horse...

I'm naming my turtle "Frisky" and my chick "Mr. PO" aka Mr. Pissed Off

I will have to think of names for mine!

I actually owned a horse named Charlie..or Charlie Horse. Or Charley Tuna, as he was affectionately called.

I had a mare whose barn name was Charlee - she needed a boy name, we just spelled it more girly.

I think I will call mine Fanny Fitness.

I'll call him Scaled Down!

Mine is called Speedy, of course :)

(I chose the snail because it's taking me so long to lose the weight, so it's apt.)
