I've been a redead for a long time. My natural color is a medium brown (BORING!) and I wanted to stand apart from my sisters. It's a sassy auburn right now!

To the one who wants to try red--take a professional with you to the store to pick out the right shade for your skintone.

To the OP--Red fades faster than any other color I've tried. I haven't seen my natural haircolor since 1987. So be prepared to redye in 8-12 weeks. At that time you can go brighter or redder if you want. If it doesn't turn out, it's ok, it will calm down in a week or two & need to be redone in 12 anyway. Welcome to the club!
