I've never seen that yogurt here in Canada. The only stuff I see is yoplait, astro, nestle, beatrice, danone. I have yet to find a yogurt I truly love. For now I have Source 0% by yoplait, which is 35 calories and doesn't contain aspartame, which is good, because I don't like the aspartame taste. I wish I could try this greek stuff.

My explanation is simplistic but if you search for 'straining yogurt', you can find quite a few links. Here is a good one.

For me, I'd use a mess strainer with a coffee filter inside of it, dump the yogurt in and put it over a glass bowl overnight in the fridge. You can use coffee filters or cheesecloths, doesn't really matter.

Does anyone know what stores it is available at? It is with the regular yogurts? I really want to try some!

Oh my...I also LOVE greek yogurt. But I can only buy one container at a time. I can not control myself around it. It is way too yummy...so if I have more than one container in my frig, I eat them all.

Hey TBG: I use sparkpeople to track my food, and they measure 1 almond at 7 calories (cfmama is right!). I do love almonds too! although it is easy to get carried away if I don't count them out.

It's with the regular yogurts, tastes great & a lot more protein, but freakin' EXPENSIVE. I'm going to try Nelie's method tomorrow. Thank you for posting that!!!

I went to three of the four grocery stores in town today looking for Greek Yogurt but none of them had it.

Is it a style or brand? (I think it's style). What brands can you get? Is it a regional thing? Do I have to go to something like Trader Joes? A health food store?

What part of Washington are you in? I used to live in Ellensburg and I could find it at Super One and the health food store. Trader Joes has it as well, in fact, their house brand is really good and cheaper then Fage. It comes in the larger tubs. It's rare to find it in the small containers.
