A blast from the past...
 

Hola.

I used to post here a loooooong time ago, but had to stop because it was stirring up a dormant case of not only anorexia, but binge eating. But I'm better now, and I'm back.

I don't know who remembers me (I remember Sandi! :hug: ), but if you do, here's what I've been up to:

- I still live in Mississippi.
- I'm still married to the same guy. (Almost 22 years now)
- My daughter is a sophomore at University of New Hampshire.
- My son is in the Navy and at nuclear power training school.
- I'm still teaching, but this will be my last year.
- I'm training to be a medical transcriptionist and hope to finish before my teaching contract (and paycheck!) runs out at the end of July.

Why I'm back:

- I weigh 40 pounds more than I did when I quit posting three years ago.
- My mom was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer in Novemeber. Obesity is a prime risk factor for breast cancer, and I don't want my daughter to have to care for me the way my sister and I are having to care for our mom.

What I ask from you:

Support me, but DON'T CODDLE ME. If pity and co-dependence were successful weight loss tools, I'd be a size double-zero by now. (And the reverse of that...Fair warning...I will support you and celebrate your losses and hug you if you feel down, but if you're whining about things that are COMPLETELY in your control, I'll call you out on it. I expect you to do the same for me.)

Yes, I know Southaven well. My cousin went to a camp near there on Lake Sardis and the rest of them all live in Batesville. My newest and coolest friend that just moved here is from Olive Branch. I was just in the area for a wedding over the summer in Marian, AR. We went into Memphis to eat at Silky O'Sullivans--what fun it was visiting. My father grew up in Osceola, AR which is just up 55. My mother also grew up near to Greenville.
