ugggh.

UGH
Today sucks.

I left work a little later than planned....got stuck in traffic...

which was extra worse because i was stressing out about not making it home in time to say goodbye to my dog who ive had for 14 years, because he is being put down..

As i pulled into my neighborhood my brakes on my car started grinding out of nowhere..so now I am supposed to go out tonight, but i need new brakes

but i did make it in time to say goodbye to him.

As soon as my dad pulled away with my dog in the car... i went and heated up some noodles& chicken.... annnnd made a pb&j sandwhich... i ate both things SO fast... && I wasnt even hungry. blaaah. this is the first time ive slipped up like that since i started my diet.

so now on top of being sad// not knowing how to deal with the loss of my dog and the stress of my car brakes...i now feel guilty that i screwed up my eating. part of me just wants to like go throw it up! blaah

today just sucks. :(

(thanks 3fc for letting me vent....)

I'm sorry about your dog :( That's a tough thing to get though. I wish you the best.

I am so, so sorry about your doggie. - and your brakes. I am glad you got home in time to say goodbye.

As for the food. It's in the past now. Get right back on your plan and you'll be fine.

Life happens, unplanned or extra food happens once in a while...but, the key is carrying on in the right direction.

It is always a very difficult time when you lose someone you love whether that be a family member, friend or in your case your beloved dog. This poem comes to mind I hope you find some comfort from this

The Rainbow Bridge
(inspired by a Norse legend)

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together.

Please do not beat yourself for falling off the wagon the main thing is deal with your grieve first and then deal with your eating plan. Do not try to play super woman it is normal to feel like this and crash off your eating plan. Allow yourself to grieve and you will come across a whole host of emotions but this is the normal part of healing from the grief.

Don't be so hard on yourself  You're human! All you have to do is make your next choice a good one. Really. You haven't caused any great damage :)

I'm so sorry about your dog. that is a very difficult thing to go through.

You can't control alot of things in life. What you can control is how you respond to those things. Your response was not what you wanted this time. That doesn't mean it has to stay that way. You knnow what not to do next time...So do something different...You control it!
