Butt Movers #7

nothing for me yet today.... but I'm getting to it :D

suzie76 04-15-2002 04:14 PM

it's a start

I walked for 20 minutes, which I know is not much. It's much better than what I have been doing for months-which is NOTHING!

Hopefully I can get myself to walk or ride the exercise bike for twenty minutes a day and work up to doing more gradually. I absolutely hate to exercise (bad memories of being a klutz in gym class)

Has anyone tried the Leslie Sansone walkfit tapes? Mine are gathering dust-I am going to start them soon, though.

Take care,
Sherry

suzie that is a great start i could do less when i started!!!

BA99TJ 04-15-2002 11:40 PM

I rollerbladed for 2 hours tonight

Sandi 04-16-2002 08:42 AM

I did my step tape for 30 minutes yesterday.

Sherry - 20 minutes is awesome. Just do 20 minutes a day and you'll be amazed at the results!!

suzie76 04-16-2002 11:53 AM

exercise for 4/16

Good afternoon everyone-

Thanks for the encouragement. You are all such nice people!

I did ten minutes on the exercise bike this morning. I hope to do ten more minutes after my son goes to bed. It's too hot and humid today for walking.

Take care,
sherry

Walked Sunday and yesterday. I tried a tiny bit of running but my knee would not hold up without pain. so I've decided just to give up the running program idea for a little while. I think once I get some more weight off there will be less force on my knees and then I"ll be able to run.

suzie - think of it this way, if you weren't on your exercise bike what would you be doing for those 10 minutes? Sitting on the couch, talking on the phone, watching tv, washing the dishes, I don't know I'm just throwing these out. 10 minutes on the bike will burn more calories than any of those plus you will still burn more calories for awhile afterwards because you have boosted your metabolism a bit. Hey it's not going to stay boosted but it is better than nothing. Also you have to start small. Like me with this running thing, it isn't working and I am still having a bit of knee pain but I haven't quit exercising I'm just doing something else. Gradually I'll work my way back to running when the time is right.

HHHMMM i had a different work out today walked for 5 on the treadmill then jumped on the elliptical for 15 then did lower body very hard then ran for 1/2 mile then did the elliptical for 1/2 mile almost 7 min so i was very varied today.

I forgot i did a bunch of crunches today too. :D

PNG 2 04-16-2002 01:46 PM

well so far today, I got in my workout with hubby, plus 40 regular crunches, and 20 three point crunches.... a few squats, and some stretching... I WAS planning on taking advantage of the nice weather, and going out to jump rope for cardio, but wouldn't you know it snowed??? so I'll have to come up with something else...

PNG 2 04-16-2002 11:10 PM

Well, just got back from a 40 minute or so hilly power walk, getting ready to do the nighttime torture--- I mean training exercises...

Jenniffer 04-17-2002 09:03 AM

I've been movin my butt alot this week so far, and it feels wonderful.

Monday: walked 5 miles (hot!)

BA99TJ 04-17-2002 10:16 AM

Sandi 04-17-2002 03:48 PM

Well all I did yesterday was a brief 14 min walk. But at least I moved!!

Hope to do more tonight!!

PNG 2 04-18-2002 11:03 AM

Nothing for me yesterday, I was SOOOOO sore...lol... oy the pain... felling a little better today, maybe go out and jump some rope if it warms up just a tad...
if not, I'll find something indoors to do :D

KathS 04-18-2002 11:26 AM

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Sue. Know this time during the move will be tricky... it's so easy to slide off during upheaval... gotta hang in there cause I don't want to lose any leverage.

Did work on the garage yesterday for hours, that ought to be good for something. Will be doing my power walk today (1/2 hour).

Go for it ladies!

Kath

moving for Wednesday

Hi,

I technically did not do exercise, but did a lot of cleaning-does that count for anything :)

I haven't gotten to do anything yet today. It's disgustingly hot and humid outside. I'll try to walk around the house quickly or something!

sherry

Sandi 04-18-2002 12:38 PM

I took a 20 minute walk and did 37 min. step yesterday!

Jenniffer 04-18-2002 01:48 PM

Wednesday: Despite sweating like a pig, I did no actual exercise. And I felt horrible all day because of it.

Thursday: So far 2.5 miles. Tonight at least 2.5 more plus my daily crunches and hand weights.

WOOHOOO...am a butt mover again!

Jen 04-18-2002 03:42 PM

I don't know when I last posted here but I've been out walking everyday this week, did my 3 mile loop yesterday. It's so hot right now I have to wait til the evening to go out.

Sandi 04-19-2002 12:42 PM

Took a 25 minutes walk with DH and DS last night!

BA99TJ 04-19-2002 12:52 PM

I walked 1.5 miles today, did some arm exercises, 100 stomach crunches.

PNG 2 04-19-2002 04:41 PM

Welp, my butt has moved today, and it was great fun :D last night I made myself a workout cd, 2 different workouts on one cd, about 36 mins each... today started out with Brena by a perfect circle to do a ballet style warmup, then a few faster songs to dance and do step to, then my supercharge Paranue,( the capowiea (sp?) song from the movie "Only the Strong" (If you haven't seen it, rent it immediately!!!) and the remix of Pinks Get the Party Started...then into slower songs to cool down...ending with Shakira's Underneath your clothes, for a ballet style cooldown, a few dance moves that stretch every muscle in your body, what more could you ask for??? I still have to do my training exercises with hubby tonight too :)
