Beverlyjoy--Welcome back! I'm w/ you....I like to go away, but I like to get home too! Your trip sounds wonderful! I haven't been to Cape Cod, yet, but I hear it is beautiful. Niagara Falls is awesome, isn't it? I didn't know that you love birds...we have a wildlife refuge near us and we see lots of eagles--which are so beautiful. There are lots of heron's and wild turkeys around too. I don't think I have ever seen a swan in person--that's cool! Good for you for planning for a good food day today. Take care of that foot! I hope you don't have to end up having the surgery.

I didn't do so well at the bday party last night. I wasn't very hungry before I left, so I didn't eat much. Then the guest of honor was running late, so by the time the food was put out I was really hungry. I didn't do terrible, just not as good as I wanted to do. I did pass on the bday cake--I really didn't want any, so that was good.

My knee feels a teeny bit better today. I was going to work out today, but I think I am going to give myself one more day of rest. I have my gym bag all packed and mp3 player all charged, so it's back to the gym tomorrow for me!

I was in a *funk* yesterday over the surgery, so I started doing some research online. Now I have LOTS of questions to ask my ortho when I go back...At least w/ this surgery he will be able to leave the ligaments intact...if I have to have the next one, I will lose them....everything I read, supported the fact that the stronger the supporting muscles are before surgery, the better--so, NO MORE EXCUSES!!!

Hi Ladies!

Welcome back Beverly! Sounds like a fabulous vacation I'm so glad to hear you are jumping right back on plan. Sometimes it's so easy to take another day, a few more days, a week...etc...to get back to "normal".

Mj- Glad you did lots of research. Surgery is scary and the more you know the better prepared you are. As for the party, it is what it is. Move on! Hope you have a great on plan day and that knee gets the rest it needs.


Okay, as for me. Yesterday the kiddos slept over at grandmas so I went to the gym at 5pm (it closes at 6) so I got a short workout. This morning I am waking up to sheer silence - it's just after 7 now. It's soooooo peaceful, it's eerie. DH is still in bed. I'm going to have tea and some quick toast and then head to the gym now and get-er-done!

Okay, so if you are into Jillian Michaels - here's some online stuff of hers where she shows workout moves. http://www.efit-today.com/public/department55.cfm I've tried some of the links, some are videos, some aren't...you have to play around on the site. I found some arms and abs, back and chest and legs ones.

Oh, and I've been denied health insurance. I actually found out a few days ago and I'm peeved. It's just a position I never thought I would be in. I have so much to say about it, but it's just too much to pour out.

Off to the gym,
