Please post some inspirational quotes :) I need them...

  • Hello everyone I have been browsing some threads here and I have been writing down some of the inspirational quotes I have found in some of your signatures.

One of my personal quotes is:

I like to be happy. I like to do things that make me happy. Seeing the scale go down and losing weight makes me happy. I should do this all the time!

    and

I don't consider it losing weight... I consider it finding myself.

  • lol I have no quotes to share....just wanted to say that I got a kick out of your avatar (I'm a big Linkin Park fan! lol)
  • Oh hey, I JUST wrote a blog post with some really inspirational quotes (I think) for those who are struggling. They are not quotes by famous people, but by people who came and left me comments when I was down. I think they are so uplifting!

Anyway go to www.escapefromobesity.blogspot.com and scroll down past the kale post to the one that says "Words of Wisdom." I hope something there helps!
  • Lyn, I just wrote a blog with quotes too...GMTA
  • Lynn your blog and quotes were so inspirational and insightful to why we eat food. It's really about letting ourselves just FEEL and not eating to block that out. You're progress is also commendable
  • Lynn...your inspirational quotes are wonderful. Thanks so much for pointing them out to us.
  • Thanks Spoz, it's all from the heart. Glad you guys enjoyed the quotes as much as I have.
  • This one came my way on another weight loss forum I belong to. I printed it and put it on my bathroom mirror, the pantry, the refrigerator at work and home.

If hunger is not the problem, food is not the answer!
  • Winners never quit. Quitters never win.
  • These are some I repeat to myself when I am thinking of cheating on my diet:

"I've come too far to take orders from a cookie."

"Nothing tastes as good as thin feels."

    "Hunger is a feeling...thin is a skill."

"It takes hard work to be thin. If it was easy, then everyone could do it."
  • Two of my favorites:

"Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." Mary Anne Rachmacher

"A ship in harbor is safe---but that is not what ships are built for." John A. Shedd
