Iianae, I'm sorry you had a bad day at work. Hopefully you will have a much better day tomorrow!

Hey!

If you're used to eating certain foods, then yeah, it's really hard to stop and to learn new habits.

But think of your goal. You want to lose weight, right? Can you do that by eating the way you've been used to eating?

So look into the future. If you keep eating that food, where will you be in a year? Five years? Ten years?

Wouldn't you rather make healthy habits now, than down the road when it will probably be even harder?

Although some folks can learn to eat moderately on certain foods, I found that for me, I had to just stop eating some foods altogether at first. Now, things are different--and foods I used to overeat, I can now handle IF I'm careful.

But again, to start, I had to make some foods off limits for a time.

Good luck! Don't give up! Keep trying! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer3:

There's a huge recipe collection under the South Beach sub-forum. Whether you do SB or not, the recipes are mostly just healthy food that can work with most plans. I'm sure there are lots of other good recipes all over the forum too. I've found stuff in the maintainers' forum, Veggie-challenged, etc.

Oh, and I'm an off-limits person too. I just can't have that stuff in the house. Certain times of the month, I just have no self control if it's in front of me. Try and find some healthy and/or legal treats you can use to satisfy your cravings. I love NSA fudgesicles, Greek yogurt with agave nectar and slivered almonds. I've got a frozen "snickers" recipe that uses grape nuts, but I haven't tried it yet. Experiment! Boredom is definitely a diet killer.
