Yeah that article hit home

I was 'convinced' I had a slow metaoblism. I found out that was totally wrong. My body responded beautifully to a change in eating, drinking, and exercising habits. Like the article said only a truly small percentage of people can't lose weight if they really change things. And 'no excuses' is probably a pretty darn good thing for people to keep in mind when they are trying to lose weight.

Yup, I know for a fact that I have really good metabolism, not as lucky as some who can sit on their duffs eating ice cream all day and not working out, and still end up looking like a supermodel, but if I get up and do something daily, I really don't even have to watch what I eat so much, my body was conditioned at a young age to workout. only problem NOW is, that I have fibro, and there are some days where I don't want to, and some days where I flat out CAN'T but those days are few these days, switching to the vegan diet really helped that... I had my slug period last week, been trying to shake it off this week, and hopefully by MOnday, I'll be my usual self again :-)

A few months back, I had a poll and thread called "What's YOUR excuse?" Where we all purged our most abused excuses... was kinda fun, and eye opening :D

Hi, it's Luckymom1
Haven't written anyone lately. Been down in the dumps. Can't seem to break through the 220lbs. Started aerobics two wks. ago. Yeah, I do modify but I keep moving. Got some encouragement from the other threads running. I also received coaching from my Xenical monitor. Diabetes, HTN, hypothyroid, and depression cause progress to be frustrating and a challenge. Can anyone suggest things that I can do to break through this weight level. I seem to be fixed. I suppose I should look at from the stand point this is the first time in over 2 years that I haven't gained. I started out at 120 lbs and have been gaining since that weight 2-3 lbs each doctors visit (1 lb a mth) what a mess. HELP!!!!
Yours

GOOD ONE!

PNG,

I was reading posts here and there one day, and saw what the PNG stands for - I love it!!!

This is a really good article. Thank you. I'm a world class excuse maker. These are some really great ideas to keep in front of me. If I only had a printer....

Thanks again, Phat Neubian Gawdess!!!

Luckymom1, just keep up on the aerobics. Did you measured yourself before you started? If you can see a difference in your measurements, that might give you the motivation to keep plugging along. Have you tried small modifications? For instance, maybe you could cut out a potentially dangerous food for a couple of weeks and see if that makes a difference. Do you eat a lot of carbs? Try to cut back on the bread, or potatoes. Just an idea.

Good luck to all,

Gayle {:~D))

Hey, Velvet

 Your a doll. No, I didn't but I feel like my clothes fit better.HMMM. I curtailed some of the extras but am having problems with bedtime snacking. :( Maybe if I try and go to bed instead of heading for the snacks that will help. Thank you again and I do like the PNG thing, too. It's great. See ya.
