Kara - the weight chart is from sparkpeople. You can enter your weights and also your measurements on there. It puts things in perspective for me! (It's free, also!)

Schmoodle - love the siggy! Hey whatever works right??

gaia - thanks for the compliment! I totally have lived in the "fat mindset" for most of my adult life... but not ALL of it, so I can see the difference, if you know what I mean. I remember the healthy mindset from long ago.

The bad thing about the siggy is when you have to put in a mad face (or a red x) and then you are embarrassed because you know people will be seeing it!

Or maybe that's the good thing!

I am so glad you posted here because I found your blog. I spent way too much time last night reading the archives. Ditto on the well written study of your weight loss experience. And your recipes look really good. I am especially thinking of the stuffed pepper recipe. I love before and after stories and your blog is a treasure trove. You are doing so good and your loss is very apparent, yes those last 10 lbs. do show!

All I can say is I am with envy. Just kidding. I am so looking forward to when I will have my 50 lbs "photo shoot". I can not figure out how your DH couldn't have seen it before now.

It reminds me of that commercial about how husbands and wives "communicate". I think it might be for some long distance company but the guy is in the garage and he keeps flipping the switch. Meanwhile the next door neighbor's garage door keeps going up and down on her car hood. In the kitchen next to the garage (the door is open) the wife is clipping coupons and every time her DH asks her what the switch is for, she goes "uh huh, uh huh...". He's found a new "toy" and she is pretending to be interested. Again.

They can get so absorbed by the tiniest amusement but fail to see the bigger picture. The proverbial "can't see the forest for the trees".

Well, you came to the right place. We did notice! You look great.
