Default Is this a reasonable goal?

I just found out that I am going to read Scripture at my brother's wedding on June 14. That is 13 weeks away.

Right now, I weigh 220. I started out at 251 on January 2.

Do you think I could lose 20 more pounds by the wedding?? That would bring me down to 200 pounds, which would be just AWESOME! But I'm not sure if it is do-able. What do you guys think?

If you can lose 2 pounds a week you'll be there.Even 1.5 pounds a week will bring you to 19.5 pound loss!!I think you can do it.Be sure you exercise along with your diet plan and you will help the process along. Good luck.

It is do-able and I think you should go for it. It might be a great motivator to stay on plan and get in your exercise. Just remember, if you only lose 16, or 17, or 19.5, you will have still been successful!

I'm SURE you can do it, if you just keep your eye on the prize!!!

My best friend is getting married, and I will be a bridesmaid for the first time in my life. They don't have a date set yet, but possibly in the fall. So, like you...I've got a goal and really want to look beautiful for it!

Go, Girl...you can do it!!!

I just want to sound a different note here. The scale can be hard to control, even if we're doing everything right! So, while it IS an attainable goal, please don't get discouraged if you don't meet it! The most important thing is that you continue on your healthier lifestyle and go to the wedding secure in the knowledge that you are becoming a healthier you. And if you don't make that goal by a few pounds, it does NOT mean you have failed!

I think it's a wonderful goal - possibly, you can get there. Do the best you can and you'll have a good loss by the time of the wedding!

It's a great goal, and 1.5 lbs per week is very attainable.

GO FOR IT, YOU CAN DO IT!

What a wonderful way to stay on track! Just visualize how good you'll look in the dress, the amazed compliments you'll get when you're 51 pounds (or 55 or 45) down at the wedding, and staying on plan will be so much easier. But I'm also going to second what Heather said. Don't fixate on the numbers so much that you're vulnerable to discouragement and binges.

Congratulations on being invited to participate in such a wonderful event! You will feel great going in there looking and feeling so much healthier than before.
