Funny you mentioned this. After my shower last night, I did a 'trial run' to see if I could wrap that towel around me. LOL! It didn't fit, but I'm going to keep working toward that goal, too. You're not alone.

I can totally relate to this!!! I don't do inches, but the towel is a great way to measure how you're doing. Watching those edges inch closer and closer is great motivation!!!!!

It's a wonderful thing...when you fit or something fits around you when it didn't before. Folks that have never been over weight...might not understand the significance...But, we sure do!!!!

I totally get that. When you go to the doctor, and they give you a robe to put on, I want the robe to fit. It's like the towel doesn't fit but they can SEE that it doesn't fit. I am also shocked that they don't have larger size robes in the doctor's offices. I am not the only one with this problem...

lol. I know what you mean about the dr gowns. I really hate when you have to leave it open at the front. Mine don't even connect. So embarrassing. I also tried my towel this morning after reading this and only connected at the top. I'm going to keep on til it closes completely around me. I might even walk through the house in my towel for once. hahahaha

Have to admit, when I was in the hospital a couple years ago, I asked for two gowns. One to wrap around the front and one to wear backwards so my butt wasn't hanging out. I went in for simple tonsil removal and ended up having cysts taken out, an alergic reaction to the pain meds, and had to stay for three days instead of overnight. One of the things they made me do the second day was walk around... Funny how the nurse didn't understand my request for two gowns until I turned around and mooned her... you would think they would have bigger gowns in supply...

I'll have to add the towel goal to my ever growing list. Its one of those things you think of after each shower/bath. Thanks

Kim
I totally understand. Goals can be such unimportant matters to others. Yet, all of us here understand. A towel fitting around us just like we want it to is a BIG deal. I remember when I could get one around my chest I was sooooooooo happy. When I could wrap it around me and it cover everything lol I was ecstatic. Who said, " If you count the penny's the pounds will take care of them selfs." How true that is. Those little goals are what gets us to the big goals.
