Karmuz - that is too funny!

barbygirl43 03-05-2008 01:50 PM

A few clothing NSVs. My mom gave me a pair of size 26 jeans a couple of weeks ago. I tried them on and they were way too tight and wouldn't fit up over my hips. I wore them to work yesterday and they almost fell off. :) Most of my size 26 jeans are about to fall off me.

My biggest NSV—I bought me a size 18 red dress. I dreamed about a red dress in January and have been searching high and low. It's not the goal dress I want yet but I think I may just wear it to Easter. I need a girdle or something to pull in the squishy bits but it fit me. :D

Karmuz....that is hilarious!!! SORRY! It's a fantastic NSV, but it made me laugh my head off! Glad nobody saw you :)

:congrat: :lol3:

I can only DREAM of size 10's falling off me!

Yesterday was my 3rd day out to lunch in a row - and I still made a good, healthy choice! 2 more to go this week.....

I can't believe I actually miss my boring brown bagged turkey sandwich - LOL!

karmuz 03-06-2008 06:38 AM

Lifeguard - the worst part was that he didn't answer the phone!! he couldn't find it in time, even though i called twice. it's forgivable - we never do know where the phone is around here.
I ended up putting one of my bags down (in the snow and mud) hitching up my pants, put the bags back in the car, and walked around the house anyway.

famogram - I thought it was funny, too, i HAD to share. also, I see we've started out in similar places. this has been a loooong road for me, but you'll get there. work hard, stay on track, and anything is possible. If i can do it, anyone can.

My NSV today is that I put my foot up on a stool and I could bend over and easily (without panting) and clip my toenails :):):)

Those are the little things in life that we never think about until we can't do them. Congrats.

barby
Nice going, bet you feel great.

kar
With my luck, if that happen to me. There would just happen to be a camera crew in the area for some reason lol.

beverly
Oh my gosh. Now I am not one to buy clothes I don't need. I don't want to spend a penny more than I need to before I am at goal weight BUT I think it is time for you to get some new clothes lol.

Botzz
How great.

Life
congrats

Lyn
Keep that feeling going and smile everyday. You have worked hard and deserve the reward of feeling great about yourself.

gr8
You are doing great.

I had two today!!

I had a friend come into town and invite me to Applebee's for lunch. I went in, ordered an unsweetened iced tea, and then opened the menu and just went straight for the "Weight Watchers" section. I am not on WW and I have hardly ever eaten at Applebees but I knew they had the option. I didnt even LOOK at the rest of the menu, just picked from there :)

Then we went to the park, and my friend had brought a chocolate bar for EACH of us and our kids. OMG, one of my favorite kinds, too. But I just said, no thanks, I'm full. I don't think I have ever turned down a chocolate candy bar before in my LIFE.

Way to go everyone!

Today a coworker noticed my weightloss :carrot: AND my size 18 (down from 22) pants are getting looser. Woohoo!

"Wrap it up....." is what I said to the waiter about the uneaten half of the HUGE turkey sandwich he served me.

That is terrific that you made good choices. It is also terrific, if you didn't have enough of carbs and fat and calories left for the day to have that candy bar that you turned it down. The good choices you are making each and everyday are going to last you a life time.

Gela
Oh, well done. Isn't it great when we are going to wear a smaller size.

Beth
TERRIFIC
Have you noticed more and more you just don't eat as much as you use to. There was a time, we just didn't allow our selfs to eat as much. Now, we have no desire to eat as much.

I love this thread! My motivation gets fired up by everyone's stories and support

gr8smyl99 03-08-2008 07:15 AM

Yes shy - I think you may be right! Thanks for the pat on the back :)

As for today - I think I'm losing my jeans - literally! I can get them up & down without even unbuttoning or unzipping - wow!!

But the negative mind isn't gone completely.... because in the back of my head i'm thinking, "they're an obnoxiously large size - thank god i'm done with them!!"

Shy Moment 03-08-2008 03:21 PM

gr8
WOW that is terrific. I love it when I have to get rid of clothes because they can be taken off without unbuttoning them. I can't wait to get rid of my 14's. Probably going to be another 5 or 10 lbs but if I try hard I can put them on and take them off without unbuttoning them lol.

famograham 03-09-2008 03:50 PM

Got a funny one for ya'! :o

I've noticed in the past few days that I'm not getting that cramp in my side when I wash my butt in the shower any more!!! :lol3:

I wonder if that had anything with me being so short???
Anybody else ever have that?

 :o
