Default Size 18 by Memorial Day

Here's my plan. I normally buy my jeans from Fashion Bug, so I plan on being in a size 18 of the same brand of jeans I am in right now (since every brand seems to say they're one size, but be bigger or smaller than the same size in a different brand of jeans). I am currently a size 22. I don't want to have to squeeze into a size 18 either, I want to comfortably fit in them. I have very large and muscular thighs (they have lost their definition over the last couple of years), so it is hard for me to drop pant sizes due to them. Pants are always too big on my waist and butt, but too small for my legs. I hate pant shopping, but I want to love it on Memorial Day (day after if they are closed, but I don't think they will be).
So Memorial Day is May 26th, which gives me just under three months to lose two pant sizes. Anyone else up for it?

I love buying goal jeans and trying them on ever so often to see how they fit. I'm not a big fan of goal deadlines because it is hard to control where fat falls from our bodies. Weeks will go by and my waist will stay the same yet my shoes will feel loser, my collar bones will stick out more, my ring will slide off, etc.

For fun though I'd definitely say buy those pair of 18s now and see how you progress into them.

Im in...Right now I am in a loose 28, tight 26, so I would love love love love love to have some of my old 24s be too big!!!!! If I can get into a 22, that would be a BONUS!! Right now I have some 26s that I bought that are just a little too tight, so that is my first goal. When those are starting to get loose, I have some 24s lying around that I can work into. There is a very specific pair of size 24 LEI jeans that I want to fit into, better than I did when I used to wear them. My goal is for those to be too big! Thanks for the inspiration!!!

I just registered on this site this week. I'm turning 40 (OMG) in August. I'm 233 pounds, want to be 180ish by August and out of PLUS SIZES!!

I just hired a personal trainer to get me motivated and to make sure my exercise routine a positive experience.

I'm heading to Mall of America in May to buy some new summer clothes. Depending on the store, I'm usually in a size 20, right now. Hope to be a solid 16 by end of May.

I'm jumpin' on the bandwagon with u'all.

If you have read this so far, remember to sit up straight, tighten those glutes and do some leg lifts.....

KIML - I was reading your post about how jeans don't fit you right and thought I would let you know about Lane Bryant. They changed their jeans. They are called right fit jeans. There are 3 different colors; red, blue, and yellow. Each one states a problem- like my pants gape in the back or they fit everywhere but the waist, then it gives you the color. I like them. I know you are getting the fashion bug ones next, though. Just thought I would share....not that you will be needing to shop there for much longer!

Ohh...and I don't work there. I read it back and sounds like I'm selling...hehe.

HEY!

Can I join in to lose a size on top. I am an apple so I have the opposite problem, my bottom is 18 (as long as the waist is elastic) but my top half is currently 26-28. I want to buy a pair of waisted zip up jeans but more than anything else I want to have my top come closer to matching my bottom. My B-day the May 13th and my goal is to lose anther 20 lbs by then.

Thanks
Em

So I tried on "the pants" on the 26th (exactly 2 months before I want to wear them) and I was able to put them on, zip the zipper and button the button... BUT... I definetely would not wear them in public right now as they are so tight they look like they were painted on... Not only am I going for size 18, but I'm going for a regular size 18. Not an 18 Wide, but a regular 18. I've been in wide sized pants for years now... so I'm excited for this!!!

Right now, I'm hoping to make it to 18 by the 4th of July, (more realistic), but if I actually did make it by Memorial Day, I would be ecstatic. Definitely a loose 20 by M-day.

The only thing is about going from a 20 to a 16 is that you have to pass the "tweener" sizes. There's a whole size or so between 18W and 18.
