math got mixed up lol

  • Okay.. im an american living in england and dealing with stones for weight vs pounds for the first time in my life lol.. when i started i was 22.12 stone.. i thought it was 13 lbs per stone which came to 298lbs.. so i thought that was where i started and was glad i hadnt reached the 300 lb mark... even tho i was at its door.. so this am i decide to weigh for the first time in about 3 weeks as my exercise bike was being delivered today and i wanted a starting point now that i have it.. anyhow.. i weighed and was doing the math and hubby informed me that it's 14 lbs to the stone.. so i started at a weight of 318lbs instead of the 298..not only did i make it into the 300's i guess i made myself comfortable there lol.... so, i have changed my ticker and know the correct math now .. all in all i have lost 18lbs so im pretty happy about that.. thanks for listening
  • Remydey, 18 pounds is awesome! I'm not much of a math person myself, so I can see myself doing the same thing.
  • I think your math might still be a little messed up, but in a good way. According to my math, 22.12 stone is around 309 pounds.

I found a handy Stones to Pounds converter, which will take the whole math thing out of the equation It's here:

  • Ya know what, remydey? All math aside...you've lost a bunch of weight already. You go, girl!!
  • okay.. checked the math on that site you linked... 22 stones is 308lbs but... it was 22. 12.. so 22 stone + 12 pounds.. so.. 308 + 12 = 320 so my math was still crap... i guess i started at 320 lmao... if anyone from england or somewhere else that uses stones can let me know if i calculated right please do lol....all i know for sure is i was 22.12 stone when i started lmao

and now im 21.5 stone btw if this helps lol
  • I'm not a math person at all, but I do know that you've lost weight and that's what is important

    Good for you!
  • 22.12 is that what the scales show??? becuase if it is you are 309.6 pounds . the.12 is 1 12th on a stone and a stone is 13.999 pounds. meaning you were 309 .6 pounds and are now 300 pounds .
