Default Do you have a list?!

What are all the reasons (big and small hehe) that you are losing weight for?! Does anyone else have a list to look at in times of desperation when that snickers bar just looks too good and you just want to give up? Here is my list:

Reasons I am losing weight:

1. My health
2. My self esteem
3. For my two beautiful little girls. I want to be a fun and energetic mommy and be someone they can really admire and look up to.
4. For my hubby, even though he says I am beautiful no matter what I just know that he thinks I would look and feel better if I lost some weight.
5. So I can wear all the cute clothes that are in my closet. Nothing fits anymore because I have gained so much weight. I haven't wanted to go clothes shopping (can you say depressing) but I haven't lost weight either.
6. So that my hubby can pick me up again. I think right now I would break his back lol.
7. so that I can buy cute undies and lingerie and be sexy for my hubby!
8. So that if I ever wanted to go swimming with my kids I could and wouldn't feel like everyone was staring at the gross fat lady.
9. so that I can prove to myself that I can do anything and stick to anything!
10. so that I won't dread being weighed at the Dr.

great post. I don't have a list but will make one now!!

1. So I can feel good about myself
2. for my health
3. so I can wear white!! AND HORIZONTAL STRIPES!!
4. So I can feel sexy and more attractive to DH.
5. So I can go to any store anywhaere and buy something!
6. so DH can give me a piggy back! (The first thing I plan to do when i hit goal)
7. So I can borrow my sisters clothes!
8. So i can go swimming
9. So I can get pregnant again and look normal not liek a fat cow!!
10. So I can join a gym and not be embarrased!

1. to feel good in my own skin (i hate the extra bits that sweat )
2. Health
3. live longer
4. be a good role model for my kids
5. buy clothes in any shop
6. be more fun for the kids
7. So i can be more confident in all situations

I eat the snickers then look at the list, lol then I won't have two.

dropping 100 pounds will feel incredible
have more fun
exercise for life

I posted this back in October, so some of you have seen it before. But this is my list. I have it laminated and posted right in front of my computer.

1. I have trouble with my eyes. The fat of my eyelids makes it hard for me to focus on someone for a long period of time. The fat makes them heavy.
2. I have lost my looks. My face is so fat, I have so many chins, that everything else is just lost.
3. My shape is round. When I look in the mirror, I am shocked at how big I am and that there is no hiding my weight anymore. I don’t look good no matter what the outfit looks like.
4. I am always by far the biggest person in the room.
5. For once, I’d like to live life without the “if I lose weight” annotation. I am tired of waiting to see what my life will be like, only to live day after day the same.
6. I would like to go back to being the positive person that I am. I am a bright ray of sunshine that is being hidden by lbs and lbs of flesh. I sparkle, but no one can see it because of the fat.
7. I am done with everything being hindered by the fat. I want life to be what it is, good or bad, without the fat.
8. For once, I am going to finish what I start
9. I want people to admire me for what I have accomplished (losing the weight), not pity me because I am still fat.
10. I don’t want the people closest to me to worry about losing me.
11. I don’t want to die and have people say, “well, she was so fat, you knew it was just a matter of time”
12. I am sick and tired of being…a failure…a quitter…fat
13. Leg cramps
14. I want to wrestle with my son and my husband
15. I want to live without the cloak of fear that my fat gives me.
16. I want my son to be able to jump in my lap and stay there. I don’t want him to have to get up because he is hurting Mommy.
17. I want to be able to sit on the floor and not cramp up. And then I want to be able to get off the floor with some dignity, not have to crawl to something that I can use to hang on to so I can get up.
18. Simple tasks are so hard..
a. Tying my shoes
b. Picking something up off the floor
c. Cleaning myself
d. Shopping
e. Walking
f. Going upstairs for something
g. Gardening
h. Sex
19. I want to be able to do the things that my weight prevents me from doing (Or if I do them, I am miserable)
a. Travel
b. The beach
c. Booths at restaurants
d. Amusement Rides
e. Baseball games
f. Hockey games
g. Riding in other people’s cars
h. Washing the car
i. Shopping
20. I want to be able to do my fair share, not have to do less because I can’t handle it.
21. I want to live to see my son grow up, graduate, get married, give me grandchildren.
22. I want to grow old with my husband and not have to have him be my caretaker because of my weight.
23. I want my family to be proud of me.
24. I want to be proud of me.
25. I want to feel light…small.
26. I want to feel my age, not 20 or 30 years older.
27. I want to TRY.
28. I want to be the Best me I can be
29. For once in my life, I want to be the inspiration, not the joke.

^wow great list. I feel the same exact way.

I thought of another one. I want to be refered to as small and tiny. People used to comment on how tiny I was. It would be great to hear that again. No one in the world would say I am tiny right now lol.

I don't have my list written down. I just have things in my mind....and, they are constantly changing. But, here is a list of what is in the forefront of my mind today.

1) I love clothes, but don't love how they look on me. I want to buy beautiful classic structured clothing that I can wear for several years.
2) I want to fit into a smaller shoe. Wide size 10's are often hard to find.
3) I want to be an example to my daughters of a strong in-control woman who doesn't know the meaning of quit.
4) I want to bring that special "twinkle" back to Hubby's eyes
5) I want my knees and feet to stop hurting.
6) One day, I want to be an energetic and healthy senior who can travel the world and enjoy her grandchildren.

Okay, so I want all your lists -- they are personal yet I think we all have aspects of each other's lists we want to achieve.

1. I want to stop "trying to kill myself" which is what I feel like I'm doing by being 100 lbs overweight -- how much can my heart, lungs, bones take???!!!
2. I want to improve my energy -- I would love to run (and not just 2 feet and then collapse!!) I want my kids to have trouble keeping up with me not the other way around.
3. I want my kids to not have to hear "your mom is the fat one??" When they get to high school, I want to hear -- "your mom is the hot one"!!
4. I want my husband to look at me again like he did 100 lbs ago!!
5. I want to just throw on clothes and look good, not have to check in the mirror to see if my rolls are showing!!
6. I want people to notice my big nose again, not the rolls of my chin Maybe even that my cheeks have come back??!!!
7. I want to feel like people see me come in a room and have compliments not whispers!!
8. I want to enjoy my life without the constant reminders of my weight -- I'm tired of living miserable -- what happened to my sense of humor, I used to be a lot of fun -- I think I swallowed it!!!

Oooh great thread! I love everyone's lists and can relate to all of them, but here is mine d'jour:

1. I want my son to be proud of his Mama
2. I want my husband to be proud of my looks
3. I want to be a positive influence on my son in terms of diet and exercise
4. I want to get pregnant again - as soon as I drop 100lbs! Gotta hurry - getting old!
5. Shopping! I am so, so tired of plus size stores!
6. I want to never have my weight be a deterent for me doing anything, ever again: bunjy jumping, taking martial arts, swimming in the lake, horse riding, etc.
7. I want people to look at me because I look good, not because I look fat.
8. I want to not be afraid to run into people I haven't seen in a long time because I have gained so much weight.

I want it so bad! Oh, yeah - I'm doing it!!
