Default How are you making your journey fun?

I was just wondering how you are making this challenge fun for you?

-Working out with other people
-Buying iTUNES cards as reward for hitting goals
-Trying new exercises, videos and classes I haven't had tried before
-writing out a goal(visualization) that I read every day

Do you have any favorite sayings or mantras that help you to get over the rough spots?

My life is pretty hectic, and busy, with that being said, I think of exercise as "time for me". I love the Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Ponds DVD's. I think there alot of fun, and you can choose how many miles you want to walk. I tell myself that it's progress not perfection, and time is going to pass no matter what I do. I'm taking it one day at a time, and thats whats different from all the other times. Good Luck to you!

I am making it fun by private messaging a few new friends here. IT nice to talk with them. I am looking foward to shopping in the reg size clothes and actually picked out a few things that i would like in the future( of course they will be gone before I get to that size but thats ok)
Huby is helping me work out with weights which is good time for us.
I am selfish and i consider my diet and exercise time MINE!!! I have been a mom and wife for so many years and always taken care of everyone else..NOW IT IS TIME FOR ME

lots of experimenting, trying new foods (I'm finally close to the point of knowing what foods I can cheat without binging on). I've also been rewarding myself with new underwear. In the past I've been one to compleatly let myself go...if I can't look perfect whats the point in trying. Lately I've been wearing better underwear, keeping my legs shaved (even though it's winter and I don't have a BF so noones going to know), using moisturizer daily and using fabric softner on my sheets and washing them more frequently then I used to. I feel sexy climbing into bed with my silky legs and crisp clean nice smelling sheets and nice underwear. It's been kind of a new high to just feel great climbing into my bed and to want to feel sexy for myself.

- I buy myself different meditation tapes

- treated myself to a massage after losing some weight

- let myself buy interesting healthy food - even though it may cost more...I am worth it.

- buy myself beautiful spiral journalling books (easy to write in with spirals)

- dance to music

I do Walk Away The Pounds and find it very motivating and fun.

I also have my mind set on the goal and nothing will stop me from reaching it!!

I've been planning my Yellowstone vacation, knowing I need to be in better shape by then. I want to do some hiking this spring also.

Never used to be into clothes before...

I have a very detailed reward system I'm big into rewards! My husband says that I've always needed lots of "atta boys" and I think that is probably true. So who better to give me my "atta boys" than me!

Most things about my weight removal journey have been fun:
1. Learning to cook foods that I never gave much thought of. (like bison, elk, venison - all lean meat)
2. weight lifting is fun for me
3. seeing the muscles in my body that I didn't know were there
4. seeing my collarbone
5. watching my blood pressure go down(it wasn't high but it still went down)
6. Running around outside with my five year old
7. Seeing how proud of me my 20 year old is
8. Watching my husband smile when someone talks about his sexy wife
All the effects of the weight removal and weight lifting are so much fun to
see.
More fun then ever having a candy bar or chips ever was. The changes are there for all the world to see the food was only a temporary fix.
